The Hilbert series of N=1 SO(N_c) and Sp(N_c) SQCD, Painlev\'e VI and Integrable Systems

open access: yes, 2011
We present a novel approach for computing the Hilbert series of 4d N=1 supersymmetric QCD with SO(N_c) and Sp(N_c) gauge groups. It is shown that such Hilbert series can be recast in terms of determinants of Hankel matrices.

Waveless Approximation Theories of Gravity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
The analysis of a general multibody physical system governed by Einstein's equations in quite difficult, even if numerical methods (on a computer) are used.

Geometric regularity estimates for elliptic equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Regularity theory for diffusive operators is among the finest treasures of the modern mathematical sciences. It appears in several different fields, such as, differential geometry, topology, numerical analysis, dynamical systems, mathematical physics ...

Optimized Strategy for Fabricating High‐Aspect‐Ratio Periodic Structures Over Large Areas Using ps‐Direct Laser Interference Patterning

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Picosecond direct laser interference patterning (DLIP) enables precise microstructure fabrication on stainless steel. Using a multiscan approach, high‐aspect‐ratio patterns are achieved. Fluence influences structure growth and homogeneity, with smaller periods yielding better uniformity.

Multiplicative equations related to the affine Weyl group E$_8$

open access: yes, 2017
We derive integrable equations starting from autonomous mappings with a general form inspired by the multiplicative systems associated to the affine Weyl group E$_8^{(1)}$.

Machine Learning‐Based Design of 3D‐Printable Microneedles for Enhanced Tissue Anchoring with Reduced Tissue Damage

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A machine learning‐driven framework is introduced to optimize 3D‐printable microneedles for enhanced tissue anchoring and reduced insertion damage. The optimized design achieves a 6.0‐fold improvement in pull‐out‐to‐penetration energy ratio over conventional shapes.

Continuity of the Feynman-Kac formula for a generalized parabolic equation

open access: yes, 2016
It is well-known since the work of Pardoux and Peng [12] that Backward Stochastic Differential Equations provide probabilistic formulae for the solution of (systems of) second order elliptic and parabolic equations, thus providing an extension of the ...

Laser Remelting of a CrMnFeCoNi High‐Entropy Alloy: Effect of Energy Density on Elemental Segregation

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Laser remelting of a CrMnFeCoNi high‐entropy alloy reveals that optimal chemical homogenization occurs between 30 and 40 J·mm−2. Within this range, elemental segregation is reduced by over 30% compared to the as‐cast state. The study establishes this window as a fast, effective alternative to prolonged annealing for achieving uniform elemental ...

Uniform convergence of V-cycle multigrid algorithms for two-dimensional fractional Feynman-Kac equation

open access: yes, 2017
In this paper we derive new uniform convergence estimates for the V-cycle MGM applied to symmetric positive definite Toeplitz block tridiagonal matrices, by also discussing few connections with previous results. More concretely, the contributions of this

Bi‐Directional Assembly of Boron Nitride µ‐Platelets by Micro‐Molding for Advanced Thermal Interface Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Bi‐directionally assembled BN µ‐platelets in micropatterns formed by a micro‐molding method for thermal interface materials are demonstrated. The BN µ‐platelets are vertically aligned selectively, while compressed regions without patterns accommodate horizontally assembled BN µ‐platelets. Through anisotropic orientation, high thermal conductivities for
