A Preconditioned Iterative Method for Solving Systems of Nonlinear Equations Having Unknown Multiplicity

open access: yesAlgorithms, 2017
A modification to an existing iterative method for computing zeros with unknown multiplicities of nonlinear equations or a system of nonlinear equations is presented.

Combined Method for Nonlinear Systems of Equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
This paper proposes Block Broyden Method combined with SSOR preconditioning technique for solving nonlinear systems of equations. The implementation process is described in detail and the time complexity is analyzed. This method has faster solving speed and better performance than the unpreconditioned one, which is shown by several numerical tests ...

Investigation of the Equivalent Representation Form of Strongly Damped Nonlinear Oscillators by a Nonlinear Transformation Approach

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2013
We use a nonlinear transformation method to develop equivalent equations of motion of nonlinear homogeneous oscillatory systems with linear and nonlinear odd damping terms.

Systems of nonlinear algebraic equations with positive solutions

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2017
We are concerned with the positive solutions of an algebraic system depending on a parameter α > 0 $\alpha> 0$ and arising in economics. For α > 1 $\alpha> 1$ we prove that the system has at least a solution.

A Study of Positive Exponential Consensus on DeGroot Model

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
A nonlinear consensus model is assigned to resolve the consensus problem of multi-agent systems (MAS). Other studies have constructed consensus systems based on low-complexity computation linear equations or complex nonlinear equations.

On a System of Two Nonlinear Difference Equations

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 1998
Concerning the system \(x_{n+1}=A+y_n/x_{n-p}\), \(y_{n+1}=A+x_n/y_{n-q}\) with \(A\geq 0\) and natural numbers \(p\), \(q\), the authors show: (i) the positive solutions are bounded, (ii) they oscillate about the equilibrium \((1+A,1+A)\), (iii) the equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable for \(A>1\).

Evolutionary Method for Nonlinear Systems of Equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We propose a new perspective for solving systems of nonlinear equations by viewing them as a multiobjective optimization problem where every equation represents an objective function whose goal is to minimize the difference between the right- and left-hand side of the corresponding equation of the system.

Perturbations of nonlinear systems of differential equations

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 1966
AbstractSeveral perturbation theorems are proved for nonlinear ordinary differential equations for which all solutions of the linearized equation are integrable. This gives a practical type of stability expressing the property that solutions tend to zero, and measures of the effect of various types of perturbations on such systems.
