Reducing t-norms and augmenting t-conorms
International Journal of General Systems, 2002We study here the behavior of the t-norms at the point (1/2, 1/2). We indicate why this point can be considered as significant in the specification of t-norms. Then, we suggest that the image of this point can be used to classify the t-norms. We consider some usual examples. We also study the case of parameterized t-norms.

This paper deals with a new method to construct a new t---conorm from two previous ones, by what we call a nesting procedure. After some general considerations about this method, we study those t---conorms obtained by nesting appropriate t---conorms in the basic maximum, drastic and Lukasiewicz t---conorms.

On Migrative t-Conorms and Uninorms
2012In this paper the notions of α-migrative t-conorms over a fixed t-conorm S 0, and α-migrative uninorms over another fixed uninorm U 0 with the same neutral element are introduced. All continuous t-conorms that are α-migrative over the maximum, the probabilistic sum and the Łukasiewicz t-conorm are characterized. Uninorms belonging to one of the classes

EXTREMAL k-LIPSCHITZ t-CONORMS
International Journal of Uncertainty, Fuzziness and Knowledge-Based Systems, 2006Class of k-Lipschitz t-conorms is shown to have no strongest element for k > 1. Pointwise supremum of the class of k-Lipschitz t-conorms is introduced and the best approximation of this supremum by k-Lipschitz t-conorm is constructed.

A note on moderate growth of t-conorms
Fuzzy Sets and Systems, 2001Given a t-conorm \(S\) on [0,1], \(S\) is said to exhibit moderate growth if for all \( a> b \) we have \[ S(v,a) - S(v,b) \geq S(u,a) - S(u,v), \tag{1} \] whenever \( u > v \). Using results of C. Kimberling, R. Moynihan and A. Sklar, the author explains the relation between moderate growth an copulas, i.e., \(S\) is continuous and satisfies (1) if ...

Propositional Belief Merging with T-conorms
2017We analyze in this paper the impact of introducing fuzzy T-conorm operators in the area of belief merging. There are mainly two subclasses of merging operators: the utilitarian and the egalitarian ones. We prove that a T-conorm merging operator can be included in the subtype of egalitarian operators.
