Tribochemical Interface Engineering of TiS4–Argyrodite Composites for Metal Sulfide‐Based Solid‐State Batteries

open access: yesBatteries &Supercaps, Volume 9, Issue 9, September 2026.
Amorphous TiS4 is studied structurally and electrochemically as a dry‐processed cathode for sulfidic solid‐state batteries. High‐energy ball milling (HBM) outperforms low‐energy milling, delivering up to 1110 mAh gS−1. HBM dry‐film cathodes retain 950 mAh gS−1 after 80 cycles, establishing tribochemical processing as a key strategy for high‐energy ...

Temperature Effects on the Mechanical Behaviour of Low‐Carbon Alloyed Pipeline Steel

open access: yesce/papers, Volume 9, Issue 2-3, Page 2837-2841, September 2026.
Abstract This paper investigates the influence of elevated temperature on the mechanical behaviour of low‐carbon alloyed X70M pipeline steel through steady‐state tensile testing. Cylindrical tensile specimens with a diameter of 6 mm were machined along the rolling direction and tested in accordance with EN ISO 6892‐1/2.

Cooperative Herringbone Hinging and Columnar Shifts in Perovskite‐Related Coordination Polymers

open access: yesChemistryEurope, Volume 4, Issue 9, September 2026.
The material class of A(BX3)2 coordination polymers enables the design of material responsive behavior through targeted degrees of freedom, which can be tuned via chemical modification. Here, we implement phosphonium‐based A2+ cations, fostering biaxial negative thermal expansion based on an interplay between columnar shifts and the herringbone hinging

Continuous Roll‐To‐Roll Coating and Drying of Sulfide‐Based Solid Electrolyte Separators for Scalable Manufacturing

open access: yesEnergy Technology, Volume 14, Issue 9, September 2026.
Continuous roll‐to‐roll doctor‐blade coating and convective drying of sulfide‐based solid electrolyte separators are systematically correlated with structural properties and ionic transport. High convective air speeds and reduced coating gaps mitigate drying‐induced cracking in the LPSCl–PIB system, enabling over 2 m of defect‐free, wound separator ...

Overcoming Cell Fixture Challenges in High‐Pressure Operation of Solid‐State Batteries

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, Volume 14, Issue 9, Page 4333-4343, September 2026.
Accurate application of high uniaxial pressure remains a limiting factor in large‐format solid‐state battery testing. A spring‐loaded fixture employing deflection‐based pressurization enables precise, homogeneous, and reproducible pressure application without expensive in‐fixture sensors, providing a robust framework for systematic investigation of ...
