Ecological Adaptation Mechanisms Underlying Successful Plant Reproduction
During floral induction, various environmental and endogenous signals converge to regulate the florigen protein, which is transported from leaves to the SAM to initiate flowering. Within the SAM, a complex network of receptor kinases and small peptides orchestrates floral development with high spatiotemporal precision.

UNCOVER: JWST Spectroscopy of Three Cold Brown Dwarfs at Kiloparsec-scale Distances
We report JWST/NIRSpec spectra of three distant T-type brown dwarfs identified in the Ultradeep NIRSpec and NIRCam ObserVations before the Epoch of Reionization (UNCOVER) survey of the Abell 2744 lensing field.

We present an estimate of the occurrence rate of hot Jupiters (7 R _⊕ ≤ R _p ≤ 2 R _J , 0.8 ≤ P _b ≤ 10 days) around early-type M dwarfs based on stars observed by the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) during its primary mission.

Constraining the Distribution of L- & T-Dwarfs in the Galaxy
We estimate the thin disk scale height of the Galactic population of L- & T-dwarfs based on star counts from 15 deep parallel fields from the Hubble Space Telescope.

Photospheric Properties of L and T Dwarfs [PDF]
The photospheric spectra of all L and T dwarfs contain strong molecular bands and alkali absorption features, and those of L and early T dwarfs are also affected by dust. Although work on atmospheric models is addressing the treatment of dust, and is increasing the completeness of molecular opacity linelists, the effective temperatures of L and T ...

Three Brown Dwarfs Masquerading as High-redshift Galaxies in JWST Observations
We report the spectroscopic identification of three brown dwarf candidates—o005_s41280, o006_s00089, and o006_s35616—discovered in RUBIES using James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) Near-Infrared Spectrograph PRISM/CLEAR spectroscopy.

Adult Sex Ratio as a Demographic Feedback Linking Mating Systems, Parental Care, and Evolution
Breeding systems are some of the most diverse social behavior, and our team is investigation the evolutionary causes of this diversity. This review summarises our research carried out at the University of Bath. We argue that demographic components of wild populations, especially the adult sex ratio, plays a key role driving breeding system variation ...
