T‐lymphocyte subset distribution in human spleen
European Journal of Clinical Investigation, 2006AbstractBackground When analyzing human cellular immune responses, most focus is placed on the peripheral blood (PB) and, to a lesser extent, the lymph nodes. To date the spleen has not been analyzed with regard to its role in adaptive cellular immunity and more notably not with respect to T‐cell immune responses.Materials and methods We analyzed the

PERIPHERAL T LYMPHOCYTES AND THEIR SUBSETS IN CUTANEOUS TUBERCULOSIS
International Journal of Dermatology, 1992AbstractFifty‐four patients with cutaneous tuberculosis, consisting of 23 with lupus vulgaris,22 with scrofuloderma, and nine with verrucosa cutis, were investigated for cell‐mediated immunity, through estimation of peripheral total T lymphocytes (CD3+), CD4+ (helper/inducer), and CD8+ (cytotoxic/suppressor) lymphocytes, by immunohistochemical staining

T-Lymphocyte Subsets in Adult Coeliac Disease
Clinical Science, 19831. As a defect of suppressor function has been hypothesized in the pathogenesis of coeliac disease, we measured, by monoclonal antibodies, the inducer/suppressor T-cell ratio in adult coeliac disease. 2. No statistical difference was observed between coeliac patients and healthy controls, irrespective of treatment and HLA status.

Demonstration in situ of subsets of T-lymphocytes in sarcoidosis
The American Journal of Dermatopathology, 1984Five biopsy specimens of skin, four of lung, and one of a lymph node were taken from nine patients with sarcoidosis. Monoclonal antibodies were applied to frozen sections of the specimens by an immunoperoxidase technique to test for the presence and distribution of subsets of T-lymphocytes.

T-Lymphocyte Subsets and Schizophrenia
1987Viruses have long been sought as possible etiologic agents in several neurological and psychiatric disorders of unknown etiology such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (Zil’ber et al., 1963), multiple sclerosis (Marie, 1884), Parkinson’s disease (von Economo, 1931; Marttila et al., 1981), and schizophrenia (Menninger, 1922).

T Lymphocyte Subsets in Leprosy
International Journal of Dermatology, 1989ABSTRACTPhenotypic analysis was done on 24 Egyptian leprosy patients and 11 healthy controls. The type of leprosy, duration of disease at the time of testing, and age were found to affect T cell subset distribution. As compared with controls, neural leprosy tended to have a decreased total T cell percentage, borderline leprosy an increased T suppressor

T and B lymphocyte subsets in fenoprofen nephropathy
The American Journal of Medicine, 1983Renal failure due to combined acute interstitial nephritis and minimal-change glomerulopathy is reported in two patients after fenoprofen therapy. In the interstitial infiltrates, T lymphocytes predominated over B lymphocytes in a ratio of four to one. The majority of B lymphocytes present were IgE-bearing cells.

T‐lymphocyte subsets in the human lacrimal gland
Acta Ophthalmologica, 1988Abstract. This study examines the microscopical appearance, location, distribution, subdivision and density of T‐lymphocytes in the human lacrimal gland. Fourteen glands, 7 from either sex, were removed and frozen shortly after the donors' death, and processed for immunoperoxidase staining, utilizing a biotinavidin system and one of the following ...

Abnormalities of T-lymphocyte subsets in epileptic patients
Acta Neurologica Scandinavica, 2009This study concerns the distribution of T-cell subsets as determined by specific monoclonal antibodies in 50 individuals with complex partial seizures (31) and primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures (19), and in 30 healthy controls. The epileptic group had significantly fewer circulating T4 "helper" lymphocytes and significantly greater number of T8

T-lymphocyte-subsets in endocrine exophthalmos.
Metabolic, pediatric, and systemic ophthalmology (New York, N.Y. : 1985), 1985Peripheral T-Lymphocyte subsets were analyzed with monolateral antibodies in 40 patients with Graves' ophthalmopathy. The 20 patients with untreated hyperthyroid exophthalmos showed a slight statistically not significant decrease in the percentage of total T-Lymphocytes and a statistically significant decrease with percentage of the OK T8 cells.
