Surface magnetic fields on two accreting T Tauri stars: CV Cha and CR Cha [PDF]
We have produced brightness and magnetic field maps of the surfaces of CV Cha and CR Cha: two actively accreting G and K-type T Tauri stars in the Chamaeleon I star-forming cloud with ages of 3-5 Myr.

A break in the gas and dust surface density of the disc around the T Tauri star IM Lupi [PDF]
Aims. We study the distribution and physical properties of molecular gas in the disc around the T Tauri star IM Lup on scales close to 200 AU. We investigate how well the gas and dust distributions compare and work towards a unified disc model that can ...

V1094 Scorpii: A rare giant multi-ringed disk around a T Tauri star [PDF]
Context. A wide variety of ring-like dust structures have been detected in protoplanetary disks, but their origin and frequency are still unclear. Aims. We aim to characterize the structure of an extended, multi-ringed disk discovered serendipitously in ...

Sodium ionization in T-tauri stars [PDF]
We present the results of a study of the sodium ionization and excitation in the winds of low-luminosity, pre-main-sequence stars. Line profiles for the Nal doublet at 5990,5986 Åare discussed and compared with the observations for those T Tauri stars with P-Cygni profiles.

A Third Star in the T Tauri System [PDF]
New speckle-holographic images of the T Tauri Infrared Companion (T Tauri IRC; T Tauri S) reveal it to be a double system with a sky-projected separation of 0".05, corresponding to a linear distance of 7 AU.

Magnetospheric accretion and spin‐down of the prototypical classical T Tauri star AA Tau [PDF]
From observations collected with the ESPaDOnS spectropolarimeter at the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope (CFHT) and with the NARVAL spectropolarimeter at the Telescope Bernard Lyot (TBL), we report the detection of Zeeman signatures on the prototypical ...

Unveiling extremely veiled T Tauri stars [PDF]
Photospheric absorption lines in classical T Tauri stars (CTTS) are weak compared to normal stars. This so-called veiling is normally identified with an excess continuous emission formed in shock-heated gas at the stellar surface below the accretion streams.

Observational Constraints on the Formation and Evolution of Binary Stars [PDF]
We present a high spatial resolution UV to NIR survey of 44 young binary stars in Taurus with separations of 10-1000 AU. The primary results include: (1) The relative ages of binary star components are more similar than the relative ages of randomly ...

Spectropolarimetry of the Classical T Tauri Star T Tauri [PDF]
High-resolution (R ≈ 60,000) circular spectropolarimetry of the classical T Tauri star T Tau is presented. The star was observed on 1997 November 21 and 22. Analyzing 12 photospheric absorption lines, the mean longitudinal magnetic field is found to be Bz = 12 ± 35 G. The 3 σ upper limit of |Bz| ≤ 105 G.

Imaging the Haro 6-10 Infrared Companion [PDF]
We present an infrared imaging study of the low-mass pre-main-sequence binary system Haro 6-10. This system is one of a handful in which the optically visible primary has the characteristics of a normal T Tauri star, while the secondary is a so-called ...
