Cardiovascular effects of Tabernaemontana pandacaqui
Journal of Ethnopharmacology, 1989Intravenous injection of ethanolic extracts of the stem, leaf and flower of Tabernaemontana pandacaqui caused hypotension in pentobarbital anesthetized rats. At high doses (100-300 mg/kg), the flower extract showed a transient hypertensive effect preceeding hypotensive activity.

Phytochemical investigation of Tabernaemontana crassa
Journal of Ethnopharmacology, 1985From the stembark of Tabernaemontana crassa the alkaloid ibogaine was isolated as the major component. Ibogaine showed activity against the gram-positive Bacillus subtilis. Conopharyngine was identified as one of the minor compounds.

Alkaloids of Tabernaemontana eglandulosa
Tetrahedron, 1984Abstract From the leaves and twigs of Tabernaemontana eglandulosa 22 alkaloids, of which 12 are new, have been isolated. Besides tacamine (pseudo-vincamine) 7 other alkaloids of this new class of indole alkaloids were identified. A further three alkaloids of the cleavamine type, namely the known ( + )20R-15, 20-dihydro-cleavamine and (-)20S-15, 20 ...

Alkaloids fromTabernaemontana psorocarpa
Planta Medica, 1983The isolation of the alkaloids from two different samples of stem bark of Tabernaemontana psorocarpa is described. Both samples contained 16-epi-isositsirikine as the major alkaloid but differed from each other in the number and quantity of the other alkaloids.

Bisindole alkaloids from Tabernaemontana corymbosa
Phytochemistry, 2018Continued study in bioactive monoterpenoid alkaloids led to the isolation of nine undescribed alkaloids, taberyunines A-I, together with 32 known ones from the aerial parts of Tabernaemontana corymbosa Roxb. ex Wall (Apocynaceae). Among the undescribed alkaloids, taberyunines A-G and H-I were assigned to Aspidosperma-Aspidosperma and Vobasinyl-Ibogan ...
