ABSTRACT Neurosyphilis can be difficult to diagnose without a high index of clinical suspicion. The diagnostic process itself may be challenging, especially when there is heavy reliance on CSF findings. Empirical therapy with benzathine penicillin after positive blood serology combined with suggestive clinical findings could be lifesaving for patients.
