Life‐history traits and survival responses to light and water of the rare endemic species Cuphea gaumeri Koehne (Lythraceae)

open access: yesPlant Species Biology, Volume 41, Issue 1, January 2026.
Cuphea gaumeri is a rare endemic species that faces conservation challenges due to climatic variation. Our experiment showed that germination and growth were highest under high water availability and shade. At the same time, reproduction was delayed under low water and shade, and survival was greatest with high water and sunlight exposure.
