Deep learning classification of large-scale point clouds: A case study on cuneiform tablets [PDF]
This paper introduces a novel network architecture for the classification of large-scale point clouds. The network is used to classify metadata from cuneiform tablets. As more than half a million tablets remain unprocessed, this can help create an overview of the tablets.

Bi‐directionally assembled BN µ‐platelets in micropatterns formed by a micro‐molding method for thermal interface materials are demonstrated. The BN µ‐platelets are vertically aligned selectively, while compressed regions without patterns accommodate horizontally assembled BN µ‐platelets. Through anisotropic orientation, high thermal conductivities for

Fabrication of controlled-release budesonide tablets via desktop (FDM) 3D printing [PDF]
The aim of this work was to explore the feasibility of using fused deposition modelling (FDM) 3D printing (3DP) technology with hot melt extrusion (HME) and fluid bed coating to fabricate modified-release budesonide dosage forms.

The permeability of enteric coatings and the dissolution rates of coated tablets
Abstract The effect of an increasing concentration of plasticizer and pigment on the permeability to both water vapour and simulated gastric juice of cellulose acetate phthalate and polyvinyl acetate phthalate has been evaluated. There were significant differences between the permeability coefficients of each polymer, particularly with ...

Intraoral Drug Delivery: Bridging the Gap Between Academic Research and Industrial Innovations
Intraoral drug delivery offers a promising route for systemic and localized therapies, yet challenges such as enzymatic degradation, limited permeability, and microbial interactions hinder efficacy. This figure highlights innovative strategies—mucoadhesive materials, enzyme inhibitors, and permeation enhancers—to overcome these barriers.

A Vertically‐Stacked Optoelectronic Sensor for Localized Hemodynamics Monitoring
This work introduces a hemodynamics monitoring sensor that features vertically stacked microLEDs and a heterogeneously integrated photodetector. The vertically stacked microLEDs enable localized measurements, and by designing the interoptode distance according to the depth of the target region, this vertically stacked optoelectronic sensor is ...
