Amber chromophore involves both an oxidized (Fe3+) and a reduced species (S2−). Redox couples Fe3+/Fe3+ and S2−/(SO4)2− are here presented as a function of oxygen partial pressure in a soda‐lime glass melted at 1400°C (modified after Schreiber et al.).
