Efficacy and safety of ablation for people with non-paroxysmal atrial fibrillation. [PDF]
: The optimal rhythm management strategy for people with non-paroxysmal (persistent or long-standing persistent) atrial fibrilation is currently not well defined. Antiarrhythmic drugs have been the mainstay of therapy.

Abstract figure legend Mitochondrial SK channel enhancement reduces cardiac arrhythmia trigger. Spontaneous sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR) Ca2+ release via hyperactive RyR2s underlies an increased arrhythmia trigger, promoting early and delayed afterdepolarizations during stress. Hyperactive RyR2s causes rise in cytosolic [Ca2+] during diastole. Clearance

ABSTRACT A man in his 50s underwent endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) for a rectal tumor measuring 28 mm. He was not taking any antithrombotic medication. On the third, 11th, 18th, and 24th days after the procedure, bleeding was observed from different areas of the ulcer bed margin and was managed with hemostatic forceps.

ABSTRACT Familial hypercholesterolemia (FH) is the most common monogenic lipid disorder, primarily resulting from mutations in LDLR, APOB, and PCSK9 genes. These mutations cause persistently high levels of low‐density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL‐C), predisposing affected individuals to premature atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD ...

Mechanisms of Supraventricular Tachycardia [PDF]
In summary, we have found a close association between the stress of A-V nodal conduction and the occurrence of atrial dispersion or aberration. We could not explain atrial dispersion on the basis of incomplete recovery of atrial activity, slowing of ...

Potential adverse drug events can be signaled in Clinical Decision Support Systems (CDSSs). This study validated a Swedish CDSS (Janusmed Risk Profile) by investigating associations between calculated risk classifications of drugs with QT‐prolonging potential and registered related clinical outcomes.
