Flutter-Like P Waves in a Case of Atrioventricular Reciprocating Tachycardia

open access: yesKaohsiung Journal of Medical Sciences, 2005
Typical atrial flutter is characterized by its sawtooth flutter wave in leads II, III, aVF, and V1. Atrioventricular reciprocating tachycardia is characterized by its small retrograde P wave after completion of QRS complex, where sawtooth flutter-like P ...

Machine Learning-based Efficient Ventricular Tachycardia Detection Model of ECG Signal [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2021
In primary diagnosis and analysis of heart defects, an ECG signal plays a significant role. This paper presents a model for the prediction of ventricular tachycardia arrhythmia using noise filtering, a unique set of ECG features, and a machine learning-based classifier model.

Cardioversion of Supraventricular Tachycardias [PDF]

open access: yesCirculation, 1969
Cardioversion was employed in 33 episodes of supraventricular tachycardia in 25 patients. Of these, 18 were episodes of paroxysmal atrial tachycardia with block and the remainder were atrial, junctional, and undefined supraventricular tachycardias. Cardioversion was successful in restoring sinus rhythm in 23 (70%).

Modeling Excitable Systems: Reentrant Tachycardia [PDF]

open access: yesAm. J. Phys. 78, 56-63 (2010), 2008
Excitable membranes are an important type of nonlinear dynamical system and their study can be used to provide a connection between physical and biological circuits. We discuss two models of excitable membranes important in cardiac and neural tissues.

Dermatomyositis and supraventricular tachycardia

open access: yesInternational Archives of Medicine, 2008
Dermatomyositis is an idiopathic inflammatory myopathy, often associated with an underlying malignancy. Its prevalence rate is approximately one per 100,000 in the general population, and is even rarer without evidence of a cancer. Dermatomyositis rarely involves myocardial muscle fibers, but has shown to be associated with cardiac arrhythmias. We ...

Transjugular approach for radiofrequency ablation of permanent junctional reciprocal tachycardia in a newborn with bilateral femoral vein thrombosis

open access: yesTürk Kardiyoloji Derneği Arşivi, 2015
Although radiofrequency ablation is the first line therapy in some children with supraventricular tachycardia, its application in small children is still limited.

Advanced ablation strategies for management of post-surgical atrial arrhythmias. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Post-surgical arrhythmias include a wide range of arrhythmias occurring late after cardiac surgery and represent a complex substrate for catheter ablation either because of extended scar and remodeling or because of limited access to the area of interest.

Fully Automatic Electrocardiogram Classification System based on Generative Adversarial Network with Auxiliary Classifier [PDF]

open access: yesExpert Systems with Applications, Volume 174, 2021, 114809, ISSN 0957-4174, 2020
A generative adversarial network (GAN) based fully automatic electrocardiogram (ECG) arrhythmia classification system with high performance is presented in this paper. The generator (G) in our GAN is designed to generate various coupling matrix inputs conditioned on different arrhythmia classes for data augmentation.

Syncope and Supraventricular Tachycardia [PDF]

open access: yesCirculation, 2001
A 41-year-old man was referred for electrophysiological evaluation after recurrent syncope that occurred frequently during vigorous exercise. The patient had a complete, normal cardiological work up, including a resting ECG, an exercise stress test, and an echocardiogram.
