Optimal timing to assess exercise‐induced oxidative stress: A systematic review and meta‐analysis

open access: yesExperimental Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract There is a lack of consensus on optimal timing to assess redox biomarkers post‐exercise, limiting methodological standardisation and linking oxidative stress to physiology. We determined optimal post‐exercise oxidative stress assessment times using three redox biomarkers: glutathione, F2‐isoprostanes and protein carbonyls.

Neuromodulatory Effects of HD-tACS/tDCS on the Prefrontal Cortex: A Resting-State fNIRS-EEG Study

IEEE journal of biomedical and health informatics, 2021
Transcranial direct and alternating current stimulation (tDCS and tACS, respectively) can modulate human brain dynamics and cognition. However, these modalities have not been compared using multiple imaging techniques concurrently.

Effects of 40 Hz transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS) on cognitive functions of patients with Alzheimer’s disease: a randomised, double-blind, sham-controlled clinical trial

Journal of Neurology Neurosurgery & Psychiatry, 2021
INTRODUCTION Gamma frequency stimulation is found to alleviate memory deficits on animal models of Alzheimer’s disease (AD), potentially by activating neuroimmune signalling and removing Abeta plaques in the brain.

The effect of transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS) on cognitive function in older adults with dementia

Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, 2020
Recent studies have shown a positive effect of transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS), a noninvasive brain stimulation technique, on cognitive function of healthy individuals [1].

Combustion synthesis and characterization of TaC, TaC/TaSi2, and TaC/TaB nanoparticles

Chemical Engineering Science, 2014
Abstract Herein, we present the low-temperature solid-phase combustion synthesis of tantalum carbide (TaC), TaC/tantalum silicide (TaSi2), and TaC/tantalum boride (TaB) nanoparticles by the silicothermic reduction of potassium fluorotantalate (K2TaF7) in the presence of carbon, boron, and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE, 1 (C2F4)n).

La infecunditat a Espanya : tic-tac, tic-tac, tic-tac!!!

2016
Manca menys d'una dècada per a que les dones nascudes al 1975 assoleixin el mig segle d'existència i esdevinguin les més infecundes de totes les generacions nascudes a Espanya en els darrers 130 anys, període per al que disposem d'informació estadística.
