Macroeconomic Tail Probabilities
Abstract A method for assessing macroeconomic tail probabilities is presented. The method models the probability density mass function of the general macroeconomic environment using non-parametric time series modelling techniques. The method is tested by evaluating the tail probability of historically well-known economic downturns.

Opportunities of Semiconducting Oxide Nanostructures as Advanced Luminescent Materials in Photonics
The review discusses the challenges of wide and ultrawide bandgap semiconducting oxides as a suitable material platform for photonics. They offer great versatility in terms of tuning microstructure, native defects, doping, anisotropy, and micro‐ and nano‐structuring. The review focuses on their light emission, light‐confinement in optical cavities, and

Modeling Ranking Concordance, Dispersion, and Tail Extremes with a Joint Copula Framework
Rankings drive consequential decisions in science, sports, medicine, and business. Conventional evaluation methods typically analyze rank concordance, dispersion, and extremeness in isolation, inviting biased inference when these properties co-move.

Bottom‐Up Programming of Cell States in Cancer Organoids with Defined Synthetic Adhesion Cues
A bottom‐up biomaterial platform is developed to program transcriptomic states in pancreatic cancer organoids by tuning adhesion cues within synthetic matrices. By combining a Design of Experiments framework with multiobjective optimization, matrix compositions are identified that enrich specific cellular programs like EMT.
