Xylanase of Talaromyces byssochlamydoides

1988
Publisher Summary The behavior of xylanase toward various substrates shows that it contains at least two enzyme activities; one is an endoxylanase that is responsible for the initial breakdown of the xylan chain and the formation of oligosaccharides and the other is β-xylosidase that causes a gradual fragmentation of the oligosaccharides leading ...

The Production of Cellulase by Talaromyces Emersonii

Mycologia, 1978
The ability of Talaromyces emersonii to synthesize extracellular cellulase has been studied in stationary liquid medium. While this organism could not degrade filter paper, its cell-free filtrate hydrolyzed soluble carboxymethyl cellulose to reducing sugars. Hence it was suggested that T.

Biosynthesis of dehydroaltenusin by talaromyces flavus

Acta Biotechnologica, 1991
AbstractA new metabolite, identical with dehydroaltenusin was isolated from a strain Talaromyces flavus B 5 which was selected from parental strain 51 C/I. Metabolite inhibited the growth of wooddamaging fungi, especially Ciadosporium sphaerospermum and P388 leukemid cells.
