X-ray phase laminography with Talbot interferometer
SPIE Proceedings, 2010Laminography is a technique for 3D volume reconstruction, extending the classical tomography to the estimation of local areas in lamellar objects. We demonstrate X-ray phase laminography by using an X-ray Talbot interferometer consisting of two transmission gratings, which has been used only for X-ray phase tomography.

The study of wave motion in the Talbot interferometer with a lens
Wave Motion, 2015Abstract We present the study of the wave motion in the Talbot interferometer with an additional element such as a lens for all related audiences. Our solutions are in the analytic form. A general principle of the Talbot effect, which is the optical near-field effect, is the Fresnel diffraction. The Fresnel integral is rather complicated.

High sensitivity of collimation testing equipment is desirable where collimated beams are used for precise and accurate measurements. Precision in the setting of collimation depends on the sensitivity of the testing equipment. In the present work, sensitivity to beam collimation of the recently reported holographic shearing interferometer (HSI) [J. Opt.

An electron Talbot-Lau interferometer and magnetic field sensing
Applied Physics Letters, 2013We present a demonstration of a three grating Talbot-Lau interferometer for electrons. As a proof of principle, the interferometer is used to measure magnetic fields. The device is similar to the classical Moiré deflectometer. The possibility to extend this work to build a scaled-up electron deflectometer or interferometer for sensitive magnetic field ...

Phase Tomography Using X-ray Talbot Interferometer
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2007A biological tomography result obtained with an X‐ray Talbot interferometer is reported. An X‐ray Talbot interferometer was constructed using an amplitude grating fabricated by X‐ray lithography at the LIGA beamline of NewSUBARU and gold electroplating. The pitch and pattern thickness of the grating were 8 μm and 30 μm, respectively. The effective area

Measurement of a transparent object by using an automated Talbot interferometer
Optical Review, 1994It is reported that the first partial derivative of the phase distribution for a transparent object can be measured automatically by a personal computer with an image processor. The moire pattern is formed by superimposing the Fourier image distorted by the transparent object on the master grating. But if only the moire patterns are observed, it is not

Color visualization of phase object using Talbot interferometer
Journal of Optics, 1986A method of color visualization of a phase object based on the Talbot effect is presented. If a grating is illuminated with a collimated white-light, the distance of the Talbot image will differ for different color. By placing an identical grating at a certain distance of negative or positive Talbot image, a single color output is extracted.

On Talbot's Bands and the Theory of the Lummer-Gehrcke Interferometer
Physical Review, 1921New Simple Method of Observing Talbot's Bands.-If a thin strip of cover glass is immersed in a dispersive medium, such as a suitable mixture of CS 2 and benzene, with a refractive index such that the group velocity in it is less than in the plate, and if a vertical slit illuminated with white light is observed through the glass strip held in a ...

An elliptical Talbot interferometer for fiber Bragg grating fabrication
Review of Scientific Instruments, 2005A simple and easily aligned two-mirror interferometer for fabricating Bragg gratings in optical bulk materials, waveguides, and fibers is presented. The interferometer consists of a simple phase mask splitting element and two dielectric mirrors optimized for maximum reflectance at an incident angle of 45 deg.
