Synergistic Effects of Hybrid Single‐Walled Carbon Nanotube/Carbon Black Fillers in 3D‐Printable Polyamide 6 Nanocomposites: Balancing Electrical Conductivity and Mechanical Performance

open access: yesPolymer Engineering &Science, Volume 66, Issue 1, Page 364-377, January 2026.
Schematic illustration of PA6/SWCNT/CB nanocomposite development and 3D printing for conductive applications. ABSTRACT Conductive polymer nanocomposites for additive manufacturing face a persistent trade‐off, as achieving electrical conductivity requires filler loadings that impair processability and mechanical integrity.

Heat Sealability and Convertibility of Cellulose Film in Vertical Form, Fill and Seal Machine for Food Packaging Applications

open access: yesPackaging Technology and Science, Volume 39, Issue 1, Page 33-48, January 2026.
The study demonstrated that regenerated cellulose films exhibit limited sealability at elevated temperatures due to thermal degradation. Serrated sealing tools enabled tighter seals especially in triple point area, while flat tools resulted in microchannel leaks.

Platinum-group element mineralisation in the Unst ophiolite, Shetland [PDF]

open access: yes, 1984
The ophiolitic basic and ultrabasic rocks of the island of Unst, Shetland comprise a sequence of harzburgites, dunites, clinopyroxene-rich cumulates, and gabbro, within tectonic blocks that have been thrust over a migmatite complex during the Laxer ...

Miscanthus‐Derived Products for Material Applications: Can They Contribute to Greenhouse Gas Emission Mitigation?

open access: yesGCB Bioenergy, Volume 18, Issue 1, January 2026.
Miscanthus is a promising lignocellulosic biomass for diverse material applications. Biobased products are generally expected to offer greenhouse gas advantages over fossil alternatives, yet assessments vary due to methodological choices. This study systematically reviewed 20 peer‐reviewed studies covering 188 comparisons of miscanthus‐derived and ...

Effect of epoxy macromolecules as interfacial mediators on the microstructure and physical properties of styrene butadiene rubber/talcum powder composites

open access: yesResources Chemicals and Materials
Poly(isoprene-co-glycidyl methacrylate) epoxy macromolecules were synthesized via reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) polymerization to act as interfacial mediators between talcum powder (Talc) and styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) with ...

Optimization of interfaces in ceramics with SiC addition engineering for thermal cycling implications

open access: yesJournal of the American Ceramic Society, Volume 109, Issue 1, January 2026.
Abstract This study investigated how SiC PSD influences solid–solid interface to enhance thermal–mechanical properties of ceramic composites. Initial SiCmp particles were milled for 3 h at 200 rpm (microns) and 600 rpm (submicrons) to tune the PSD, and their impact was evaluated in cordierite–mullite matrix, sintered at 1360°C.

Mineralogy Controls on Injection‐Induced Fault Slip

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 52, Issue 24, 28 December 2025.
Abstract Fault rocks vary in mineralogy but understanding the role of mineralogy in injection‐induced fault slip behavior remains challenging. We conduct laboratory fluid injection experiments on representative faults with distinct surface mineralogy, injecting fluid at a constant rate of 0.6 mL/min and under a confining pressure of 20 MPa, to examine ...
