All the way to the top! The energy implications of building tall cities [PDF]
Density of urban form may be achieved under a variety of morphological designs that do not rely on tallness alone. Tall buildings have implications on the broader urban environment and infrastructure that lower buildings would not have, e.g. wind effects,

Identified through the use of statistical design of experiments and metallographic investigation, this study exposes the stochastic origins of intergranular cracks in blown powder laser beam directed energy deposition additive manufacturing of pure molybdenum. It further demonstrates a successful crack mitigation approach with direct correlation to the

Mega-tall buildings: current trends, challenges and future prospects
This paper focuses on mega-tall buildings that are distinguished from other skyscrapers by their height, which is 600 m or more. The construction of mega-tall buildings is a twenty-first-century phenomenon, representing the pinnacle of modern building ...

Optimising the computational domain size in CFD simulations of tall buildings
Recently, there has been a growing interest in utilizing computational fluid dynamics (CFD) for wind resistant design of tall buildings. A key factor that influences the accuracy and computational expense of CFD simulations is the size of the ...

Productively Lindel\"of spaces of countable tightness [PDF]
Michael asked whether every productively Lindel\"of space is powerfully Lindel\"of. Building of work of Alster and De la Vega, assuming the Continuum Hypothesis, we show that every productively Lindel\"of space of countable tightness is powerfully Lindel\

3D‐Printed Porous Hydroxyapatite Formed via Enzymatic Mineralization
Bone combines lightness, strength, and the ability to heal, inspiring new materials design. This work introduces a room‐temperature, enzyme‐mediated 3D printing method to create porous hydroxyapatite scaffolds. The process avoids energy‐intensive sintering, preserves bioactivity, and allows control over porosity and mineralization.

Parallel 3D Bioprinting on SLIPS‐Microarrays
This work introduces the first truly parallel 3D bioprinting method, enabling both the simultaneous fabrication of hundreds of cell laden hydrogel 3D structures and their HTS in individual liquid compartments. By integrating Digital Light Processing (DLP) stereolithography with functional micropatterns, the platform decouples printing time from array ...
