Cross section measurement of 144Sm(p, γ) reaction for astrophysical p-process study using Activation technique [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences
The cross section measurement of 144Sm (p, γ) 145Eu has been carried out around proton energies 2.6–6.8 MeV using the activation technique. Measured cross sections are compared with the previous measurement and theoretical predictions using TALYS 1.96 ...

A Phosphorylation‐Induced Micellization Switch in the Low‐Complexity Domain of TDP‐43

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Phosphorylation of TAR DNA‐binding protein's 43 kDa (TDP‐43) low‐complexity domain by casein kinase 1 delta (CK1δ) acts as a molecular switch, redirecting its self‐assembly from macroscopic phase separation toward finite‐sized, spherical block‐copolymer micelles of ∼30 nm.

Simulation study of excitation functions for cyclotron production of 99mTc using TALYS code [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Simulation studies for cyclotron production of Technetium-99m 99mTc) were conducted using a Nuclear Reaction Model Code (TALYS code) to generate reaction cross sections as function of proton bombardment energies for 100Mo (p,2n)99MTc reaction channel ...

Agent‐Based Simulations of Lung Tumor Evolution Suggest That Ongoing Cell Competition Drives Realistic Clonal Expansions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Computational simulations of tumor evolution are increasingly used to infer the rules underlying cancer growth, with the goal of one day recommending tailored treatments. Here we show that the properties of lung cancer sequencing data are best replicated by a model which assumes that cells compete both to proliferate and survive. ABSTRACT Computational
