UCHL3 Regulates Subgenomic Flaviviral RNA Condensates to Promote Virus Propagation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Flavivirus subgenomic RNAs (sfRNAs) antagonise antiviral defences, yet how sfRNAs are organized and maintained in cells remains poorly understood. Here we identify ubiquitin C‐terminal hydrolase L3 (UCHL3) as a post‐translational regulator of flavivirus sfRNA stability and function.

IC Backside Tamper Detection Using Impedance Sensing

open access: yesIEEE Access
The expansion of flip-chip technologies and lack of backside protection made integrated circuits (ICs) vulnerable to certain classes of physical attacks mounted from the IC’s backside, including laser-assisted probing, electromagnetic side-channel

GHRHR Deficiency Enhances Retinal Ganglion Cell Survival and Visual Functions in Experimental Glaucoma by Inhibiting Ferroptosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Glaucoma, a major cause of blindness, involves retinal ganglion cell (RGC) degeneration. This study shows growth hormone‐releasing hormone receptor (GHRHR) deficiency preserves RGC survival and restores vision, unlike activation which only aids survival.

The Host Cell Factor Phosphatase‐2A Subunit PR130 Restricts Replication of Herpes Simplex Virus Type‐1

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Molecular, genetic, virological, and biochemical analysis in combination with global proteome and phosphoproteome profiling and functional assays were applied to study the role of PR130 in the context of HSV‐1 replication. The observations reveal that host‐intrinsic mechanisms regulate HSV‐1 replication and highlight PR130 as a susceptibility factor of

Fuzzy transform and fragile watermarking tamper detection of coded images

open access: yes, 2011
An original image is compressed with fuzzy transforms and is divided in images of sizes 2×2 on which we apply a known fragile watermarking process. A preprocessing phase is considered to determine the better compression rate for the coding process.

Four-scanning Attack on Hierarchical Digital Watermarking Method for Image Tamper Detection and Recovery

open access: yes, 2009
[[abstract]]In a recent paper presented by Lin et al., a block-based hierarchical watermarking algorithm for digital images is proposed. It adopts parity check and the intensity-relation check to conduct the experiment of image tamper detection.

Blind image tamper detection based on multimodal fusion

open access: yes, 2010
In this paper, we propose a novel feature processing approach based on fusion of noise and quantization residue features for detecting tampering or forgery in video sequences.

Noninvasive Focal Gene Delivery into the Cerebellum of Non‐Human Primates using Focused Ultrasound

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Focal and non‐invasive viral vector delivery in non‐human primates remains a major challenge in translational neuroscience. Low‐intensity focused ultrasound was used to transiently open the blood–brain barrier and enable targeted gene delivery to the cerebellum.
