Tanaidacea (Crustacea: Peracardia) of the Gulf of Mexico. VIII.

Gulf Research Reports, 1989
Pseudosphyrapus siegi, n. sp. is described from benthic samples collected in deep water (595-2400 m) from the northem Gulf of Mexico. Of the five currently recognized species of Pseudosphyrupus C u p , 1980, P. siegi is most closely related to P. dispar (Lang, 1968), a southwestem Pacific cognate and only other member of the genus having a squama on ...

Distribution of species in deep-sea biogeographic provinces and molecular phylogeny for the superfamily Neotanaoidea (Peracarida; Tanaidacea) indicate high levels of connectivity

Frontiers in Marine Science
Here we analyze available recorded occurrences for species of Neotanaoidea, a deep-sea peracarid superfamily, in the frame of biogeographic bathyal, abyssal, and hadal provinces.

A synopsis of the Tanaidacea (Crustacea: Peracarida) of Singapore, with a review of tanaidacean diversity in Southeast Asia and the South China Sea.

Zootaxa
In the first comprehensive taxonomic study of the tanaidacean fauna of Singapore, a total of 23 species belonging to two suborders, three superfamilies, 13 families and 22 genera were identified from approximately 2,400 specimens, including 11 species ...

New species and records of Apseudomorpha (Crustacea: Tanaidacea) from Taiwan

Zootaxa, 2014
The present study reports the first record of Apseudomorpha from Taiwan and includes descriptions of three new species and one new species record. Paradoxapseudes pangcahi sp. nov. differs from the most similar congener, Paradoxapseudes littoralis, by having one segment less in the antennal flagellum and fewer segments in the uropod endopod ...

Apseudes talpa revisited (Crustacea; Tanaidacea). The impact on apseudidaen systematics

Zootaxa, 2011
The species Apseudes talpa is redescribed and its impact on the systematics of Apseudidae is discussed. The finding of multiple conflicting characters with the generic diagnosis, as well as the novel character of a denticulate ridge on the mandibular body, suggest that a redefinition of the genus Apseudes is necessary.

Additions of new species and records to the Tanaidomorpha (Crustacea: Tanaidacea) of Taiwan

Zootaxa, 2015
This study reports two new species and one new species record of tanaidomorphan tanaidaceans from Taiwan. The leptocheliid Leptochelia taitungensis sp. nov. can be separated from the most similar species, Leptochelia tarda, in the Leptochelia dubia/savignyi group by having long distal spines on the maxilliped endites and the male having two-articled ...

Apseudes ranma sp. nov. (Tanaidacea: Apseudidae) found in a public aquarium, with notes on phylogeny and a presumptive stridulatory organ

Bulletin of marine science
We describe Apseudes ranma sp. nov. from the Port of Nagoya Public Aquarium, Nagoya, Japan. It resembles two congeners, Apseudes curtiramus (Guţu, 2007) and Apseudes orghidani Guţu and Iliffe, 1989, in having the rostrum triangular, wider than long ...

Shallow water Tanaidae (Crustacea: Tanaidacea) of Australia

Zootaxa, 2008
Investigation of shallow reef habitats around Australia revealed an extremely rich tanaid (Crustacea: Tanaidacea: Tanaidae) fauna. A total of 21 species in the family are now recognised from the Australian continent and Tasmania— about one-third of tanaids known worldwide.
