Decoupling Activation and Preservation: Architectural Design Principles of Organic Frameworks for Selective Photocatalytic Methane Oxidation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Selective methane (CH4) photooxidation emerges from architectural decoupling of activation and preservation. Programmable organic semiconductor frameworks spatially organize oxidative flux and intermediate residence, separating reaction zones from product domains to synchronize activation strength with stabilization and establish a selective oxidation ...

Advantages of Dual Hyperbolic Tangent Function Over Single Hyperbolic Tangent Function in Description of Hysteresis Loops

open access: yesInternational Review of Electrical Engineering (IREE), 2016
If the mathematical description of the magnetic hysteresis loop branches should be simple, easy to use and should credibly describe the waveform magnetic hysteresis loop with a minimum number of parameters, then it inevitably leads to the description of magnetic hysteresis loop branches with a hyperbolic tangent function.

Hybrid Amyloid–Boron Nitride Aerogels for Lightweight Sound Insulation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Amyloid fibrils template the mild formation of boron nitride–rich hybrid aerogels with hierarchical porosity, enhanced BN‐like ordering, and fibril‐reinforced mechanics. These ultralight materials combine thermal stability with strong sound absorption and transmission loss, offering a sustainable bio‐assisted route toward lightweight acoustic shields ...

One-dimensional hyperbolic tangent performance. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
For the one-dimensional hyperbolic tangent test function (18), the Separatrix Algorithm outperforms Latin hypercube sampling and traditional BDOE on a likelihood-based performance metric (19).

Selection model of representative items for the subcontractors’ cost index in multi‐family housing projects

open access: yesJournal of Civil Engineering and Management, 2010
Price index has played an important role in measuring the past performance of an industry, which it does by tracking the cost of the items used in the industry.

A Sharp Double Inequality for the Inverse Tangent Function

open access: yesCoRR, 2013
The inverse tangent function can be bounded by different inequalities, for example by Shafer's inequality. In this publication, we propose a new sharp double inequality, consisting of a lower and an upper bound, for the inverse tangent function. In particular, we sharpen Shafer's inequality and calculate the best corresponding constants.

Recent Advances in Ferrite‐Based Materials for Biomedical Applications: A Comprehensive Review

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Ferrite nanoplatforms are presented as tunable biomedical materials in which synthesis control, cation engineering, defect/morphology regulation, and surface functionalization govern structure–property–bioactivity relationships. These design strategies enable multifunctional applications including MRI contrast, magnetic hyperthermia, targeted drug ...

A Wireless, Passive Multimodal Wearable Sensor With Decoupled Sensing Capabilities

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A wireless passive multimodal electronic skin is presented for the simultaneous perception of pressure, humidity, and odor through a frequency‐divided LC resonator array. The decoupled sensing architecture suppresses cross‐interference and enables independent signal readout under superimposed stimuli while maintaining high stability.

Large‐Area Printed PEDOT:PSS Shielding and Frequency Selective Surface (FSS) on Textiles

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
An all‐polymer e‐textile frequency selective surface (FSS) can present controlled shielding, presenting a competitive alternative to metal‐based inks. The results show how PEDOT: PSS‐based e‐textiles could be applied in RF devices for future wearable applications.

Univariate hyperbolic tangent neural network approximation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Here we study the univariate quantitative approximation of real and complex valued continuous functions on a compact interval or all the real line by quasi-interpolation hyperbolic tangent neural network operators.
