Effects of temperature and tank color on post larvae release and survival of freshwater Prawn Macrobrachium nipponense

open access: yesالمجلة العراقية للاستزراع المائي, 2018
Berried females of Macrobrachium nipponense were incubated under four different temperatures (20,23,26 and 28 ºC) and two types of tanks with different background coloration (dark and transparent tanks) to determine the best larval release and the post ...

Tailoring Vascular‐Immune Homeostasis via Manganese‐DNA Complex‐Armed Immunogenic Extracellular Vesicles for Pancreatic Cancer Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that Mn2⁺–tumor DNA complexes encapsulated in dendritic cell (DC)– derived immunogenic extracellular vesicles (EVDC@Mn‐DNA) act as a DC‐specific cGAS– STING activator. EVDC@Mn‐DNA treatment enhances intratumoral DC activation, improves tumor vascular function, promotes CD8⁺ T cell activity, and suppresses pancreatic tumor growth,

Development of a polyimide for use as a temperature and solvent resistant sealant [PDF]

open access: yes, 1972
Polyimide developed by the interaction of benzophenone tetracarboxylic dianhydride, polyoxypropylene diamine, and oxydianiline is used for fuel tanks that are exposed to extreme ...

3D Large‐Scale Subwavelength‐Resolution Sound Sheet Tomography Based on an Active and Programmable Circular Meta‐Array

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A programmable 2048‐element circular ultrasound array combined with a compact acoustic lens produces a thin “sound sheet” over a large field of view, and records echoes with wide angular diversity across the ring aperture. Coherence‐enhanced beamforming converts full‐matrix data into high‐contrast tomographic slices, delivering near‐diffraction‐limited

Exploring Oxygen and Harmful Gas Distribution in Wastewater Treatment Tanks of Industrial Enterprises

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Many confined-space accidents have happened in wastewater treatment tanks, mainly caused by hazard gases. To identify the factors affecting the distribution of toxic and harmful gases in wastewater treatment tanks, in this study, we collected data on ...

Cis‐ and Trans‐Regulatory Factors Independently Shape Phenotypic Heterogeneity of Retinitis Pigmentosa

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A zebrafish model carrying an identical human RHO S334X allele reveals two independent genetic layers shaping retinitis pigmentosa (RP) severity: a protective 3‐bp cis‐regulatory insertion that attenuates transgene expression, and a dominant trans‐acting modifier that restores a severe phenotype.

Hydroelastic vibration analysis of partially liquid-filled shells using a series representation of the liquid [PDF]

open access: yes
A series representation of the oscillatory behavior of incompressible nonviscous liquids contained in partially filled elastic tanks is presented. Each term is selected on the basis of hydroelastic vibrations in circular cylindrical tanks.

Hepatocyte BDNF Acts as a Novel Immune Checkpoint to Restrain TLR4‐Mediated Acute Hepatitis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies hepatocyte‐derived BDNF as an endogenous TLR4 antagonist that alleviates acute hepatitis. BDNF is downregulated in hepatocytes via REST‐mediated transcriptional repression during ALI/ALF. Mechanistically, BDNF binds to TLR4 on macrophages to suppress inflammation.
