Protocol for quantifying miRNA trafficking across the endosomal membrane
An in vitro protocol measures miRNA uptake into endosomes isolated from mammalian cell extracts, which are free of subcellular contaminants. Performed at 37 °C in the presence of ATP, it ensures the import of single‐stranded miRNA into the endosomal lumen.

Long‐Term Neurologic Exam Findings in People Diagnosed and Treated During Acute HIV Infection
ABSTRACT Objective Evaluate clinical and laboratory correlates of abnormal neurologic exam findings after acute HIV infection (AHI). Methods Participants from the RV254/SEARCH 010 cohort in Bangkok underwent standardized neurologic examinations at Weeks 0 (AHI), 12, 96, and 288 following antiretroviral therapy (ART).

Light absorption properties of laboratory-generated tar ball particles [PDF]
Tar balls (TBs) are a specific particle type that is abundant in the global troposphere, in particular in biomass smoke plumes. These particles belong to the family of atmospheric brown carbon (BrC), which can absorb light in the visible range of the ...

Smart Antibacterial Coatings: Harnessing Bacterial Redox Activity for Infection Control
In this study, we have shown that ceftazidime‐loaded poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT@CAZ) functions as a smart, redox‐responsive antibacterial coating that couples bacterial electrical activity with localized antibiotic delivery. Shewanella oneidensis and Pseudomonas aeruginosa induced distinct redox responses in PEDOT, reflecting their ...

Technologies for producing traditional and non-traditional adsorbents for deep purification of aqueous-alcohol solutions based on Paulownia wood [PDF]
This article presents the technology of obtaining activated carbon adsorbents from Pavlovnia tree waste in two different ways and in two stages. In the process of pyrolysis, the product is charred in an oxygen-free environment, and then activated in the ...

Advances and Perspectives in Graphene‐Based Quantum Dots Enabled Neuromorphic Devices
Graphene‐based QDs are zero‐dimensional carbon nanomaterials with pronounced quantum confinement and tunable electronic structures. Herein, we summarize their synthesis strategies and functionalization methods, and highlight their functional roles and operating mechanisms in devices, as well as recent advances in neuromorphic electronics. We anticipate

A Phosphorylation‐Induced Micellization Switch in the Low‐Complexity Domain of TDP‐43
Phosphorylation of TAR DNA‐binding protein's 43 kDa (TDP‐43) low‐complexity domain by casein kinase 1 delta (CK1δ) acts as a molecular switch, redirecting its self‐assembly from macroscopic phase separation toward finite‐sized, spherical block‐copolymer micelles of ∼30 nm.
