Radiological Loco‐Regional Treatments for Cholangiocarcinoma: A Systematic Review of the Literature

open access: yesLiver International, Volume 46, Issue 4, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Cholangiocarcinoma (CCA) is the second most common primary liver cancer and is being diagnosed with increasing frequency worldwide. We performed a systematic review on radiofrequency (RFA), microwave (MWA), irreversible electroporation (IRE), trans‐arterial chemoembolization (TACE) and selective internal radiation therapy (SIRT) in CCA. Biodegradable HPMC–chitosan film for moisture retention and quality preservation in fresh‐cut mango

open access: yesJournal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, Volume 106, Issue 5, Page 2905-2916, 30 March 2026.
Abstract BACKGROUND Replacing conventional plastics with biodegradable solutions that control moisture loss in fresh‐cut produce is a strategic need. This study developed hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (HPMC) and chitosan (CS) films plasticised with glycerol (Gly) and evaluated their use as sealing lids for fresh‐cut mango. RESULTS The selected monolayer

The Effect of the Use of Microencapsulated Stabilizers on Textural Rheological and Physicochemical Properties of Ice Cream

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 3, March 2026.
Microencapsulation of stabilizers using an iodine–carrageenan matrix significantly enhanced the structural and functional properties of ice cream. Encapsulated guar gum, locust bean gum, xanthan gum, and CMC improved rheological behavior, melting resistance, texture, and microstructural stability compared to the control.

Balancing Innovation and Control: Public Views on Risks and Governance of AI in Political Communication

open access: yesPolicy &Internet, Volume 18, Issue 1, March 2026.
ABSTRACT With the rise of AI, concerns about its potential for manipulation in political communication have intensified, accompanied by discussions about regulatory measures. Research has explored perceptions of risks and preferences regarding AI use and regulations among the general population, and in fields such as journalism.

Disaster Cross‐Sector Collaboration Networks: Evidence from Four Historical Disasters

open access: yesRisk, Hazards &Crisis in Public Policy, Volume 17, Issue 1, March 2026.
ABSTRACT By conducting content analysis and social network analysis of media coverage of four historical disasters (i.e., the 2011 Joplin Tornado, 2013 Moore Tornado, 2017 Hurricane Harvey, and the 2023 Maui wildfire), this study uncovered characteristics of cross‐sector disaster collaboration networks.

Phase I prospective trial of TAS-102 (trifluridine and tipiracil) and radioembolization with 90Y resin microspheres for chemo-refractory colorectal liver metastases

open access: yesBMC Cancer, 2022
Background Extrahepatic disease progression limits clinical efficacy of Yttrium-90 (90Y) radioembolization (TARE) for patients with chemotherapy-refractory metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC).

Very Early‐Stage Detection Is Associated With Improved Survival in Patients With Unifocal Hepatocellular Carcinoma

open access: yesAlimentary Pharmacology &Therapeutics, Volume 63, Issue 6, Page 850-858, March 2026.
In a multicentre cohort of patients with unifocal HCC, patients with very early stage disease had a survival advantage over patients diagnosed at an early stage. Factors associated with mortality included worse liver function, larger tumour size and higher AFP levels.

Stereotactic body radiation therapy is associated with improved overall survival compared to chemoradiation or radioembolization in the treatment of unresectable intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma

open access: yesClinical and Translational Radiation Oncology, 2019
Background: Intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) is a highly lethal malignancy. For patients with locally advanced, unresectable disease, numerous liver-directed therapy options exist, including chemoradiation (CRT), stereotactic body radiation therapy (

Precise Evaluation of Transpiration Patterns in Relation to Grain Yield Under Drought Stress in Faba Bean

open access: yesPlant Direct, Volume 10, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Faba bean (Vicia faba L.) is a key crop for sustainable agriculture in temperate cropping systems due to its nitrogen‐fixing ability and high protein content, but its productivity is increasingly threatened by drought stress driven by climate change.

Study on Hydrothermal Catalytic Oxidation Demulsification of Oily Sludge

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 1, January 2026.
Hydrothermal catalytic oxidation (HTCO) treated oily sludge optimally at 50 mg L−1 catalyst, 200°C, 10 min, oxidation coefficient 1, and 1:5 solid–liquid ratio, achieving 89.46% oil recovery. HTCO efficiently breaks emulsions, improves oil quality, lowers costs, and benefits the environment.
