Cyclotron-Based Production of 67Cu for Radionuclide Theranostics via the 70Zn(p,α)67Cu Reaction [PDF]

open access: yesPharmaceuticals, 2023
Theranostic matched pairs of radionuclides have aroused interest during the last couple of years, and in that sense, copper is one element that has a lot to offer, and although 61Cu and 64Cu are slowly being established as diagnostic radionuclides for ...

Is 70Zn(d,x)67Cu the Best Way to Produce 67Cu for Medical Applications? [PDF]

open access: yesFrontiers in Medicine, 2021
The pair of copper radionuclides 64Cu/67Cu (T1/2 = 12. 7 h/61.8 h) allows, respectively, PET imaging and targeted beta therapy. An analysis of the different production routes of 67Cu with charged particles was performed and the reaction 70Zn(d,x) route ...

Toward Personalized Immunotherapeutic Drug Monitoring with Multiplexed Extended-Gate Field-Effect-Transistor Biosensors. [PDF]

open access: yesSmall Sci
In this study, a proof of concept is presented using an extended‐gate field‐effect‐transistor biosensing platform for monitoring immunotherapeutic drugs in vivo. Using varying sizes of immunotherapeutic drugs, the biosensor surpasses the sensitivity of standard methods, reducing the need for radioactive labeling in real‐time sensing.

In-target production of [11C]CH4 from a nitrogen/hydrogen gas target as a function of beam current, irradiation time, and target temperature [PDF]

open access: yesEJNMMI Radiopharmacy and Chemistry
Background Production of [11C]CH4 from gas targets is notorious for weak performance with respect to yield, especially when using high beam currents. Post-target conversion of [11C]CO2 to [11C]CH4 is a widely used roundabout method in 11C-radiochemistry,

A new approach to targetry and cyclotron production of 45Ti by proton irradiation of 45Sc [PDF]

open access: yesNuclear Technology and Radiation Protection, 2014
Titanium-45 with a half-life of 3.09 hours decays by emission of positrons (85%) and the electron capture process (15%). These properties make this radionuclide useful in the diagnosis of tumors by positron emission tomography.
