Multi-Robot Task Allocation Games in Dynamically Changing Environments
IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation, 2021We propose a game-theoretic multi-robot task allocation framework that enables a large team of robots to optimally allocate tasks in dynamically changing environments.

Game theoretic self-organization in multi-satellite distributed task allocation
, 2021This paper addresses self-organized task allocation in multi-satellite systems by formulating it as a potential game and proposing a distributed task allocation algorithm (DT2A) via learning in games.

Operator/system task allocation
Proceedings. 5th IEEE International Symposium on Intelligent Control 1990, 2002Some strategies for allocating tasks across the human and electronic components of a system are explored. There exist the questions of what human operators should do and what should be left to semi- and fully-autonomous electronic systems. It is argued here that the allocation strategy must be based on: (a) the nature of the tasks to be performed by ...

Task Allocation by Parallel Evolutionary Computing
Journal of Parallel and Distributed Computing, 1997In this paper we will investigate the applicability of parallel evolutionary algorithms to the task allocation problem?a long standing problem in parallel computing. Three different evolutionary optimization strategies, genetic algorithms, simulated annealing, and steepest descent, are formulated in a parallel generic framework. In order to enhance the

Distributed task allocation in social networks
Proceedings of the 6th international joint conference on Autonomous agents and multiagent systems, 2007This paper proposes a new variant of the task allocation problem, where the agents are connected in a social network and tasks arrive at the agents distributed over the network. We show that the complexity of this problem remains NP-hard. Moreover, it is not approximable within some factor.

Collective Task Responsibility Allocation
Small Group Research, 2000This article explores differences in individual- and group-level allocation of responsibility for task performance following positive and negative performance feedback. In two studies, 330 participants completed and received veridical feedback for a verbal performance task.

Expectations for Household Task Allocation and Actual Task Allocation: A New Zealand Study
Journal of Marriage and the Family, 1985This study compares engaged couples' expected gender-role differentiation of labor in marriage with their actual household task allocation one year after the marriage. The acceptance of feminist ideology was the dominant predictor of household task allocation for both males andfemales. Parental household task allocation did not predict task allocation.
