SpECTRE: A Task-based Discontinuous Galerkin Code for Relativistic Astrophysics [PDF]
We introduce a new relativistic astrophysics code, SpECTRE, that combines a discontinuous Galerkin method with a task-based parallelism model. SpECTRE's goal is to achieve more accurate solutions for challenging relativistic astrophysics problems such as

A Parallelised ROOT for Future HEP Data Processing [PDF]
In the coming years, HEP data processing will need to exploit parallelism on present and future hardware resources to sustain the bandwidth requirements. As one of the cornerstones of the HEP software ecosystem, ROOT embraced an ambitious parallelisation

MPI+X: task-based parallelization and dynamic load balance of finite element assembly [PDF]
The main computing tasks of a finite element code(FE) for solving partial differential equations (PDE's) are the algebraic system assembly and the iterative solver. This work focuses on the first task, in the context of a hybrid MPI+X paradigm.

Increasing the degree of parallelism using speculative execution in task-based runtime systems [PDF]
Task-based programming models have demonstrated their efficiency in the development of scientific applications on modern high-performance platforms. They allow delegation of the management of parallelization to the runtime system (RS), which is in charge

The Glasgow Parallel Reduction Machine: Programming Shared-memory Many-core Systems using Parallel Task Composition [PDF]
We present the Glasgow Parallel Reduction Machine (GPRM), a novel, flexible framework for parallel task-composition based many-core programming. We allow the programmer to structure programs into task code, written as C++ classes, and communication code, written in a restricted subset of C++ with functional semantics and parallel evaluation.

Integrating Job Parallelism in Real-Time Scheduling Theory [PDF]
We investigate the global scheduling of sporadic, implicit deadline, real-time task systems on multiprocessor platforms. We provide a task model which integrates job parallelism.
