Volatile Organic Compounds in the Mouth Areas of Small Rivers in Tatar Strait during Under-Ice Period

Water Resources, 2021
The distribution of volatile organic compounds was studied in water and bottom sediments of estuaries of small tidal rivers. In the under-ice period, water showed high concentrations of organic matter: from 4.2 до 29.2 mg/L in fresh water, from 12.2 to 80.4 mg/L in slightly saline water, and 404 mg/L in seawater.

Results of Magnetic-Variation Sounding of the Tatar Strait at Two Points on Its Opposite Shores

Russian Geology and Geophysics, 2020
Abstract —Results of magnetic-variation sounding on the opposite shores of the Tatar Strait are presented. The resulting frequency dependences of tippers serve as a basis for 3D inversion carried out using the ModEM software. The inversion yields horizontal and vertical sections of the Tatar Strait in a 400×400×400 km area along the x, y,

Hydrocarbon Systems of Tatar Strait Sedimentary Basins and its Prospective Production Analysis

Proceedings, 2012
The article discribes the main stages of the section hydrocarbon productivity forming. It is based on the generation and migration processes and their evolution during the geological history. The main result of the project is the new objects for exploration studies and phase composition prediction for the possible hydrocarbon deposit.

Modeling of the marine environmental pollution by petroleum hydrocarbons and their biotransformation in Tatar Strait waters

Water Resources, 2010
A hydroecological model is used for simultaneous studying water pollution processes by petroleum hydrocarbons and their decay under the oceanographic conditions of Tatar Strait. The model calculations were based on long-term averaged observational data on interannual variations of water temperature, light intensity, and transparency. Some oceanographic

Routes and intensity of geese migration over northern Sakhalin and the mainland part of Tatar Strait

Russian Journal of Ecology, 2011
The intensity of geese migration has increased since 2005, and its routes have shifted eastward. The main migration route of the geese previously passed over the northwestern Sea of Okhotsk, far from the coast; since 2005, however, a major migration flow has been recorded over northern Sakhalin and the mainland part of Tatar Strait.

Transformations of biogenic substances in Tatar Strait water (the Sea of Japan): Analysis of mathematical modeling results

Water Resources, 2010
The state of the marine environment (the temperature, light intensity, transparency, biogenic load) in Tatar Strait was assessed based on mean annual data from literary sources and with the use of GIS “Sakhalin Shelf.” The entire strait was divided into three regions (northern, southwestern, and southeastern), and water exchange between them for each ...

Probability estimation of ice encounter in the Tatar Strait on the route De-Kastri - the ice edge

MORSKIE INTELLEKTUAL`NYE TEHNOLOGII)</msg>, 2022

Methane anomalies, its flux on the sea–atmosphere interface and their relations to the geological structure of the South-Tatar sedimentary basin (Tatar Strait, the Sea of Japan)

Marine Geophysical Research, 2019
The paper presents the effects of gasgeochemical survey in the upper layer and water column, as well as in bottom sediments in the Tatar Strait (the North of the Sea of Japan) in 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2017. The features of methane, hydrogen, and helium distribution in the water column and sediments of the Tatar Strait were identified.

The Depth Distribution of Dominant Species of Macrophytes in the Northwestern Part of the Tatar Strait

Russian Journal of Marine Biology, 2019
This paper investigates the depth distribution patterns of bottom vegetation dominants in the western Tatar Strait (within Khabarovsk Krai). Materials were collected during SCUBA diving surveys performed by the Khabarovsk Branch of the Pacific Research Fisheries Center.
