Pseudorecombinant viruses (i.e., those containing a reas-sorted genome of closely related multipartite viruses) are often not as competitive as the parental viruses. The role of the 2b gene in hypervirulence and maintenance of a progressive infection was

Coronal abundances of X-ray bright pre-main sequence stars in the Taurus Molecular Cloud
We studied the thermal properties and chemical composition of the X-ray emitting plasma of a sample of bright members of the Taurus Molecular Cloud to investigate possible differences among classical and weak-lined T Tauri stars and possible dependences ...

For Anderson tight-binding models in dimension $d$ with random on-site energies $\epsilon_{\vec r}$ and critical long-ranged hoppings decaying typically as $V^{typ}(r) \sim V/r^d$, we show that the strong multifractality regime corresponding to small $V$

BackgroundLiterature studies suggested a lower prevalence of coronary artery disease (CAD) in bicuspid aortic valve (BAV) than in tricuspid aortic valve (TAV) patients. However, this finding has been challenged.

Bulk Properties of Anharmonic Chains in Strong Thermal Gradients: Non-Equilibrium $\phi^4$ Theory
We study nonequilibrium properties of a one-dimensional lattice Hamiltonian with quartic interactions in strong thermal gradients. Nonequilibrium temperature profiles, T(x), are found to develop significant curvature and boundary jumps.

The bicuspid aortic valve and its relation to aortic dilation
BACKGROUND: A bicuspid aortic valve (BAV) is a common congenital heart disease, which affects 1-2% of the population. However, the relationship between BAVs and aortic dilation has not been sufficiently elucidated.

Aortic Valve Repair with External Annuloplasty in Bicuspid versus Tricuspid Aortic Valve Patients
Surgical repair for regurgitant bicuspid aortic valve (BAV) is promising but underutilized due to perceived complexities and lack of long-term data.
