Janus Polymeric Nanorods Inhibit human Amylin Oligomerization and Fibrillation for Potential Type 2 Diabetes Treatment [PDF]
Small Science, Volume 6, Issue 7, July 2026.We demonstrate that polymeric Janus nanorods (JNRs) delay both oligomerization and fibrillation of human islet amyloid polypeptide (hIAPP) through high‐affinity and sequence‐specific interactions. JNRs display a β‐hairpin mimetic ligand (LP2) on one face, enabling multivalent binding.

Association Between Hair Cortisol, Sarcopenia, and Sarcopenic Obesity: Results From the ELSA‐Brasil Study [PDF]
AGING MEDICINE, Volume 9, Issue 4, Page 384-393, August 2026.This study investigated the association between hair cortisol levels and dynapenia, sarcopenia, and sarcopenic obesity in the ELSA‐Brasil study. Hair cortisol was used as a biomarker of chronic stress. No significant associations were observed between hair cortisol and the outcomes assessed.
