Spatially forced corotating Taylor-Couette flow
Physical Review E, 1994The response of a flow to which an external control force is applied is of great general interest. The flow studied was a variation of classical circular Taylor-Couette flow in that it was spatially forced by sinusoidal modulations on the inner cylinder, with a forcing wavelength incommensurate with the natural length scale of the Taylor vortices.

Nonlinear Taylor–Couette flow of helium II
Journal of Fluid Mechanics, 1995We solve the nonlinear two-fluid Hall–Vinen–Bekharevich–Khalatnikov equations of motion of helium II for the first time and investigate the configuration of quantized vortex lines in Taylor–Couette flow. The results are interpreted in terms of quantities which can be observed by measuring the attenuation of second sound.

In this work we present the rendering of a virtual rheoscopic fluid (VRF) to produce images with results strikingly similar to laboratory experiments with real-world rheoscopic fluids using products such as Kalliroscope.

Onset of time dependence in Taylor-Couette flow
Physical Review A, 1985The onset of time dependence in Taylor-Couette flow has been studied experimentally for a range of the radius-ratio parameter \ensuremath{\eta}. The results indicate that there are two types of sensitivity to aspect ratio in agreement with recent numerical and experimental work.
