Learning to Walk in Every Direction with the TBR-Learning algorithm

Artificial Life 14: Proceedings of the Fourteenth International Conference on the Synthesis and Simulation of Living Systems, 2014
Legged robots are versatile machines that can outperform wheeled robots on rough terrain (Raibert, 1986), for instance in exploration or rescue missions. Their versatility is, however, tempered by their mechanical and control complexity, which makes them prone to mechanical damages and difficult to control robustly (Raibert, 1986; Bongard et al., 2006;

Securities Lending Strategies, TBR and TBR (Theoretical Borrow Rate and Thoughts Beyond Rates)

SSRN Electronic Journal, 2015
We look at different models to manage spreads on daily securities loans and aid the price discovery process using a theoretical borrow rate; improve the efficiency of the locate mechanism and optimize the allocation of inventory using the Knapsack algorithm; price long term loans as a contract with optionality ejavascript: void(0); mbedded in it; and ...

Correlation dimension of density fluctuations in TBR-1

Plasma Physics and Controlled Fusion, 1991
The authors report results for the correlation dimension associated with density fluctuations measured by Langmuir probes placed in the scrape-off layer of the Tokamak TBR-1. Form a judicious use of the Grassberger-Procaccia algorithm the authors show that there is a low-dimensional behavior in most of the analyzed signals.

Circadian time‐dependent modulation of sleep and brain temperature (Tbr) by methylcobalamine and resultant prolongation of Tbr freerunning period in rats

Biological Rhythm Research, 1995
Abstract Vitamin B12 (VB12) is known as a putative modulator for the mammalian circadian clock. In an attempt to analyze the mechanism by which VB12 modulates the clock system, circadian time (CT) dependency of two VB12 analogs, methylcobalamin (methyl‐B12) and cyanocobalamin (cyano‐B12), was investigated by means of recording sleep‐wake and brain ...

TBRS: A trust based recommendation scheme for vehicular CPS network

Future Generation Computer Systems, 2019
Abstract In complex vehicular cyber physical systems (CPS) network environment, there exist trust-based recommendation schemes that could effectively filter most of the false data. Though, these schemes may exhaust vehicular network resources, including energy, computation ability, and storage, causing a network outage.

Identification of Tbr‐1/CASK complex target genes in neurons

Journal of Neurochemistry, 2004
AbstractTbr‐1, a neuron‐specific T‐box transcription factor, plays a critical role in brain development. Here, we performed a computational search using the non‐palindromic T‐box binding sequence, namely the non‐palindromic T‐element, to determine the putative downstream target genes of Tbr‐1.
