Pilot-aided modulation for narrow-band satellite communications [PDF]
This paper discusses a number of tone-aided modulation techniques which have been studied as part of the Mobile Satellite Experiment (MSAT-X) Program. In all instances tone(s) are inserted into data-free portions of the transmit spectrum and used by the ...

rTCT: Rodent Triangle Completion Task to Facilitate Reverse Translational Study of Path Integration
ABSTRACT Path integration is navigation in the absence of environmental landmarks and is a primary cognitive mechanism underlying spatial memory. Path integration performance is primarily assessed in humans using the Triangle Completion Task (TCT). In humans, TCT has shown promise for the early diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease.

Lock-in Problem for Parallel Rotor-router Walks [PDF]
The rotor-router model, also called the Propp machine, was introduced as a deterministic alternative to the random walk. In this model, a group of identical tokens are initially placed at nodes of the graph.

Aging‐Driven Immunosuppression: The Role of Tregs in the Ovarian Tumor Microenvironment
In the aged ovarian TME, cancer cells exhibit increased succinate production. Elevated extracellular succinate activates the SUCNR1 receptor on Tregs, promoting their recruitment and contributing to an immunosuppressive environment. This leads to diminished anti‐tumor T cell responses and reduced survival.

Aging associated miR‐152 dysregulation plays a central role in the loss of Paneth cell homeostasis by inhibiting mitochondrial protein Prohibitin1 (PHB1) expression, which contributes to increased small intestinal vulnerability to pathological stresses. ABSTRACT Advanced age is a well‐known risk factor for severe complications in surgical patients with
