Improved ODD-EVEN Technique for Effective Shade Dispersion in TCT Configuration

2020 IEEE International Conference on Power Electronics, Drives and Energy Systems (PEDES), 2020
The output power of photovoltaic (PV) array diminishes naturally due to non-uniform irradiation. This reduction in output power mainly depends on the shading area, shading pattern and array configurations. Due to this non-uniform irradiance, the modules in the array delivers different row current and exhibit multiple peaks in electrical characteristics.

Experimental analysis of proposed SP-TCT, TCT-BL and CT-HC configurations under partial shading conditions

2016 IEEE 7th Power India International Conference (PIICON), 2016
In this paper, few novel configurations of solar photovoltaic (PV) array have been proposed to minimize the effect of partial shading conditions. To study partial shading effect a solar PV module of size 4×4 of proposed SP-TCT, TCT-BL and CT-HC have been assembled. For the investigations of shading effects two shading patterns have been considered i.e.

Experimental analysis of SP/TCT PV array configurations under partial shading conditions

2016 IEEE 1st International Conference on Power Electronics, Intelligent Control and Energy Systems (ICPEICES), 2016
In this paper; the effect of partial shading on series parallel (SP) and total-cross-tied (TCT) PV module configurations has been investigated. For this study; two PV modules (4×4 size) of SP and TCT configurations have been assembled using commercially available PV cells.

The output property of photovoltaic MS and TCT configurations under partially shaded conditions

2017 IEEE 26th International Symposium on Industrial Electronics (ISIE), 2017
Total-cross-tied (TCT) photovoltaic configuration and multiple-string (MS) configuration are focused on under partially shading conditions in this paper. Under different shading patterns such as string, row, blocky and triangle patterns, the TCT and MS configurations can generate different maximum power.

Power optimization of TCT configured PS-PV fields by forecasting the connection of modules

2015 Annual IEEE India Conference (INDICON), 2015
Solar photovoltaic (SPV) modules are connected in series and parallel to meet the load requirements in terms of voltage and current respectively. Thus, in large photovoltaic fields, the PV panels often get partially or completely shadowed by passing clouds, nearby buildings, poles, chimneys, shadow of nearby panels, trees etc.

Investigation on SP and TCT Photovoltaic Array Configurations under Obscured Shading Conditions

2020 IEEE 7th Uttar Pradesh Section International Conference on Electrical, Electronics and Computer Engineering (UPCON), 2020
Solar Photovoltaic (PV) systems are under consideration as a viable energy conversion system on an industrial scale. A limitation to PV systems are non-uniform shading, which lower the performances of the installation. Reflection on the electrical interconnections of the solar panels can be performed to overcome this issue.

Determination of Module Rearrangement Techniques for Non-uniformly Aged PV Arrays with SP, TCT, BL and HC Configurations for Maximum Power Output

2019 International Conference on Electrical, Computer and Communication Engineering (ECCE), 2019
The power production of a PV array decreases due to some specific factors such as temperature, shading, soiling, non-uniform aging of PV modules etc. The nonuniform aging of PV modules in an array is a significant factor of power degradation. This increases current-voltage (1- V) mismatch among the array modules and causes power loss.

Experimental Investigation on SP and TCT PV Array Configurations to Reduce Power Losses During PSC

2018
In this paper, an analysis of series–parallel and total cross-tied photovoltaic array (size 3 × 3) is investigated under irregular irradiation conditions or shading conditions. The artificial shading effect is considered on the PV array with the progression of shadow to investigate the shading effect on PV performance in terms of power and voltage at ...
