Abstract Natural hydrogen (H2) is a promising clean energy resource and a significant component of geothermal gases, yet its origins and release mechanisms remain poorly constrained. Here, we present geochemical and isotopic data (CO2, N2, Ar, H2, He, CH4, 3He/4He, δ13C‐CO2, and δ13C‐CH4) for hydrothermal gases from the Changning–Menglian suture (CMS),

Metallic mirrors exposed in TCV tokamak were cleaned by plasma in laboratory. A gold (Au) mirror was deposited with 185–285nm of amorphous carbon (aC:D) film coming from the carbon tiles of TCV. Another molybdenum (Mo) mirror had a thicker deposit due to a different location within the tokamak.

Viral Infection Risk Driven by Ecological Trait Susceptibility to Habitat Heterogeneity
ABSTRACT Traits for host exploitation that drive the transmission of disease and pathogen emergence are expressed in heterogenous environments. To advance the development of accurate forecasting of infection risk and emergence, determining constraints on ecological strategies for resource use by pathogens over a range of host communities is essential ...

Parallel SOL flow on TCV [PDF]
Particle flow measurements parallel to the total magnetic field direction have been obtained for the first time in the TCV tokamak scrape-off layer. The plasma shape flexibility of TCV, coupled with carefully matched ohmic diverted discharges in forward and reversed toroidal field at varying plasma density is used to try and separate drift flow ...

APV1‐encoded p26 protein is a multifunctional VSR that suppresses RNA silencing and blocks the systemic spread of silencing signals. p26 interacts with host SGS3, a key component of the plant antiviral silencing pathway, and targets SGS3 for accelerated degradation via the ubiquitination pathway.

Typhoid conjugate vaccines: is a single dose enough for durable protection?
Introduction Typhoid fever is widespread in developing countries. Most typhoid vaccines have gone into some disrepute for their substantial side effects and low efficacy.

Using CRISPR/Cas9 to edit the susceptibility gene in rice eIF(iso)4G helped to lower the infection of rice yellow mottle virus in mutated lines of the Indica rice cultivar IR2793‐80‐01. ABSTRACT Rice is a staple crop primarily recognised for its high content of carbohydrates and proteins.
