Impact of tDCS and HD-tDCS on tinnitus perception: A scoping review

2021
Tinnitus is the auditory phantom perception of a sound that severely affects the quality of life of over 300,000 people in the United Kingdom alone. Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) is a noninvasive brain stimulation tool, which has been investigated as a potential tinnitus management option since 2006. This study aimed to investigate the

Designing Synchronizers for Nutt-TDCs

2019 5th International Conference on Event-Based Control, Communication, and Signal Processing (EBCCSP), 2019
Applications requiring both high resolution time measurement and large dynamic range demand for the integration of high-performance Time-to-Digital Converters (TDCs) and coarse counting methods which operate asynchronously. When using two asynchronous counting methods, the use of a synchronization mechanism is mandatory to correct metastability errors.

Multimodal Association of tDCS with Electroencephalography

2021
In the field of neuromodulation, we have observed an increase in the popularity of approaches that combine transcranial electrical stimulation (tES) with additional methods to establish, in vivo, the neurophysiological consequences of a given experimental or therapeutic manipulation. Research in the development of multimodal approaches has provided new

An 8-ch LIDAR Receiver Based on TDC With Multi-Interval Detection and Real-Time $In~Situ$ Calibration

IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 2020
This article presents an 8-ch LIDAR receiver for pulsed time-of-flight (TOF) imaging laser detection and ranging application. The proposed LIDAR receiver can achieve both 100 m and high-precision range imaging with lower system cost, which was untrodden ...

The flash-TDC

Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section A: Accelerators, Spectrometers, Detectors and Associated Equipment, 1989
Abstract A circuit is presented which uses FADCs for instantaneous time digitization at regular clock intervals. It allows the construction of pipeline TDCs with a resolution of a small fraction of the clock time. In measurements with a 100 MHz, 8-bit FADC a resolution of ≈ 30 ps has been obtained.

Analysis and Design of an All-Digital ∆Σ TDC via Time-Mode Signal Processing

IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems - II - Express Briefs, 2020
This brief presents an all-digital first-order 1-bit $\Delta \Sigma $ time-to-digital converter (TDC) using a time-mode signal processing approach. Time integration is performed using a bi-directional gated delay line.
