136.9 W Acousto‐Optically Q‐Switched 2 μm Thin‐Disk Laser
A Ho:YAG thin‐disk laser pumped by a self‐made 72‐pass module delivers 216 W continuous‐wave output at 2 µm, the highest reported to date. Under acousto‐optic Q‐switching, an average output power of 136.9 W at 20 kHz and a pulse energy of 30 mJ at 1 kHz with 810 ns duration are achieved, demonstrating strong potential as pump sources for ZGP optical ...

Early Detection of Cell Death Using Transmembrane Water Exchange Magnetic Resonance Imaging
Cell death is important in both the development and treatment of cancer. In this study, it is demonstrated for the first time that a specific measurement of the transmembrane water exchange rate using magnetic resonance imaging can be used as an early marker of cell death in mammalian cells, in animals and in human patients. Abstract Cell death plays a

Ultrafast Multilevel Switching and Synaptic Behavior in a Planar Quantum Topological Memristor
Dry‐transferred Bi2Te3 layers enable a planar quantum topological memristor framework. In‐plane topological surface states facilitate ultrafast & low‐power operations. Coexisting analog and digital modes support current‐controlled multilevel states. PQTM exhibits 105 s retention, 103 cycles endurance, and reproducibility across 24 devices.

Planar Quantum Topological Memristor This image artistically illustrates the structural and functional analogy between a biological synapse and our planar quantum topological memristor (PQTM). The 2D Bi2Te3 thin film acts as an artificial synaptic bridge, leveraging scattering‐resistant surface states for ultrafast and energy‐efficient signal ...

Excess noise in Pb(1-x)Sn(x)Se semiconductor lasers [PDF]
The noise characteristics of the TDL were studied for frequencies less than 20 kHz. For heterodyne applications, the high frequency ( 1 MHz) characteristics are also important.
