Liquid‐Processed 2D Aromatic Amorphous Carbon: Defect Engineering and Universal Transport Scaling

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Liquid‐processed graphene oxide (GO) thin films undergo a controllable crystalline–to–amorphous transition driven by thermal quenching. By kinetically tuning oxygen‐driven defect formation during reduction, scalable 2D aromatic amorphous carbon phases are stabilized, directly linking nanoscale disorder and defect topology to electronic transport ...

Rupture spontanée de la rate chez un enfant

open access: yesThe Pan African Medical Journal, 2019
Les ruptures non traumatiques ou spontanées de la rate (RNTR) sont des entités rares mais potentiellement mortelles. La mortalité de cette affection est essentiellement liée au retard diagnostique et thérapeutique, ainsi qu'aux risques liés au terrain et

Variation on Toxic and Inflammatory Potential of Coal Smoke of Different Sources From a Region With High Lung Cancer Risk

open access: yesEnvironmental Toxicology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Excess lung cancer risk in Xuanwei and Fuyuan, China, has been attributed to household air pollution from use of a locally sourced smoky (bituminous) coal. However, the carcinogenic mechanisms remain unclear. Given the important role of inflammation in lung cancer development, this study compared the proinflammatory potentials of the ...

Sitting Less, Moving More: A Compositional Data Analysis of Movement Behaviours and Adolescent Health‐Related Quality of Life

open access: yesActa Paediatrica, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Aim To predict changes in health‐related quality of life (HRQoL) when sedentary behaviour was hypothetically replaced with other movement behaviours (sleep, standing, light physical activity and moderate‐to‐vigorous physical activity) in adolescents.

Early Prediction of Outcome Using Lactate Dehydrogenase and Amplitude‐Integrated EEG in Transported Newborn Infants with Hypoxic–Ischaemic Encephalopathy

open access: yesActa Paediatrica, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Aim To investigate whether early lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) and amplitude‐integrated electroencephalography (aEEG) improve the prediction of outcome in outborn infants transported for therapeutic hypothermia. Method Secondary analysis of a randomised controlled trial (2016–2019) including 113 asphyxiated newborn infants randomised to ...

Contact Sensitisation Trends in Slovenian Children and Adolescents: A Retrospective Single‐Centre Study

open access: yesContact Dermatitis, EarlyView.
Nickel sensitisation in children decreased significantly over time, while dyes and isothiazolinones are emerging allergens. These findings underscore shifting exposure patterns and the need for continuous surveillance to guide effective patch testing and prevention strategies.
