Underground personnel positioning system based on ultra wideband technology

open access: yesGong-kuang zidonghua, 2014
In view of problems of short transmission distance, poor anti-multipath effect and low positioning accuracy existed in current underground personnel positioning technologies, an underground personnel positioning system was proposed by use of ultra ...

Multireference TDOA-based source localization

open access: yesTURKISH JOURNAL OF ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING & COMPUTER SCIENCES, 2013
Time difference of arrival (TDOA)-based methods usually achieve the most accurate source localization in passive systems. In these methods, one of the sensors is assigned as the reference and the TDOA of the others with respect to the reference is measured. The source location is estimated by processing these TDOAs.

TDOA-Based Localization via Stochastic Gradient Descent Variants [PDF]

open access: yes2018 IEEE 88th Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC-Fall), 2018
Source localization is of pivotal importance in several areas such as wireless sensor networks and Internet of Things (IoT), where the location information can be used for a variety of purposes, e.g. surveillance, monitoring, tracking, etc. Time Difference of Arrival (TDOA) is one of the well-known localization approaches where the source broadcasts a ...

A Model on Indoor Localization System Based on the Time Difference Without Synchronization

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
Localization has emerged as an attractive solution to enable new business models that rely on location-based services in wireless networks for communication, sensing, and control. In particular, time difference-of-arrival (TDOA) is one of the widely used

Time-Difference-of-Arrival-Based Localization Methods of Underwater Mobile Nodes Using Multiple Surface Beacons

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
In this paper, we investigate the mobile node localization problem in an underwater positioning system using multiple surface beacons, where time synchronization between the surface beacons and underwater mobile nodes is not required. First, we propose a

Localization based on TDoA projection for autonomous vehicles in 6G cellular networks

open access: yesICT Express
6G cellular networks are expected to support a full service for autonomous driving. A super-resolution localization is required for the full service. When TDoA measurements are available, most localization systems usually rely on Kalman filtering for ...

Approximate Analytic Quadratic-Optimization Solution for TDOA-Based Passive Multi-Satellite Localization With Earth Constraint

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2016
In this paper, we make an investigation of the problem of passive multi-satellite localization based on time differences of arrival (TDOA) with Earth constraint (EC).

Weighted Least Squares Algorithm for Single-observer Passive Coherent Location Using DOA and TDOA Measurements

open access: yesLeida xuebao, 2016
In order to determine single-observer passive coherent locations using illuminators of opportunity, we propose a jointing angle and Time Difference Of Arrival (TDOA) Weighted Least Squares (WLS) location method.
