Backscattering of TE waves by periodical surface with dielectric cover
IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 1998Several types of periodical surfaces are studied on their backscattering to a normally incident TE plane wave. The surfaces are perfect conductor and are covered with dielectric materials to make a flat surface due to aerodynamic consideration. The effects of frequency, surface profile shape, period-to-depth ratio, and cover permittivity are analyzed ...

TE-wave image reconstruction by genetic algorithm
ICMWFST'96. 1996 4th International Conference on Millimeter Wave and Far Infrared Science and Technology. Proceedings, 2002This paper presents a computational approach to reconstruct the shape of a perfectly conducting cylinder illuminated by TE wave. Base on the boundary condition and the measured scattered field, we have derived a set of nonlinear integral equations and reformulated the imaging problem into an optimum one. By using the genetic algorithm, the shape of the

TE-Wave Propagation through 2D Array of Metal Nanocylinders
Solid State Phenomena, 2012The plasmonic system consisting of two-dimensional periodic array of silver cylindrical nanoparticles is considered. The light reflection and transmittance, calculated for various frequencies, show the resonance behavior. Excitation of plasmons in the array of nanorods is studied.

Problem of nonlinear coupled electromagnetic TE-TE wave propagation
Journal of Mathematical Physics, 2013Propagation of two TE coupled electromagnetic waves in a nonlinear plane layer is considered. Nonlinearity in the layer is described by Kerr law. It is shown that a new nonlinear propagation regime exists for a pair of TE waves. The physical problem is reduced to a nonlinear two-parameter eigenvalue problem for a system of (nonlinear) ordinary ...

Heating of deep—seated tumors by te wave irradiation
Electronics and Communications in Japan (Part I: Communications), 1990AbstractAs an applicator for heating deep‐seated tumors in the human body in a non‐invasive manner, a multiapplicator system radiating TE wave is proposed. In addition, it is shown that a hot zone can be formed deeply inside the human body if a method for good adjustment of the amplitude and phase of each applicator element is used.

Inverse Scattering of Buried Complex Object by TE Wave Illumination
2005 IEEE International Symposium on Microwave, Antenna, Propagation and EMC Technologies for Wireless Communications, 2006The inverse scattering of buried complex object by transverse electric (TE) wave illumination is investigated. Dielectric cylinders coated on a conductor of unknown permittivities are buried in one half space and scatter a group of unrelated TE waves incident from another half space where the scattered field is recorded.

Higher-order discretised boundary conditions at edges for TE waves
IEE Proceedings - Microwaves, Antennas and Propagation, 1999One of the important aspects in the solution of field problems using numerical techniques such as the finite difference method is the accurate description of the field singularity behaviour near a sharp edge. The authors propose higher-order discretised boundary conditions at the edges of perfectly conducting wedges for transverse electric waves.

Image Reconstruction of Buried Dielectric Cylinders By Te Wave Illumination — Abstract
Journal of Electromagnetic Waves and Applications, 2002—The inverse scattering of buried dielectric cylinders by transverse electric (TE) wave illumination is investigated. Dielectric cylinders of unknown permittivities are buried in one half space and scatter a group of unrelated TE waves incident from another half space where the scattered field is recorded. By proper arrangement of the various unrelated
