Spatially Modulated Morphotropic Phase Boundaries in a Compressively Strained Multiferroic Thin Film

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The coexisting rhombohedral‐like (R′, MA) and tetragonal‐like (T′, MC) monoclinic phases in compressively strained bismuth ferrite thin films exhibit exceptional piezoelectric and magnetic properties. While previous studies have largely focused on probing the morphotropic phase boundaries (MPBs) comprising ordered R′/T′ twins, their self ...

Chiral Phase Change Nanomaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates reversible, non‐volatile phase transitions in chiral Ge2${\rm Ge}_2$Sb2${\rm Sb}_2$Te5${\rm Te}_5$ (GST) nanohelices for high‐speed optical modulation of chirality and dynamic control of the state of polarization (SOP). The chiral nanostructures are fabricated using a highly directional, wafer‐scale physical vapor deposition ...

Czego jeszcze nie wiemy o nauczaniu literatury polskiej? Tekst literacki na lekcji języka polskiego jako obcego

open access: yesINSTED: Interdisciplinary Studies in Education & Society, 2011
Teaching Polish as a foreign language is booming. What qualifies to make such a statement is the growing number of better and better coursebooks created on the basis of communicative approach, the increased number of methodological studies, where ...

Byzantine Themes in Polish High School Liberal Arts Education

open access: yesStudia Ceranea, 2019
The authors focus how Byzantine motifs are presented in the teaching of humanities subjects. The question of the presence of Byzantine motifs is essentially one about the presence of Byzantine heritage in Polish culture.

Structure‐Guided Dynamical Mechanics in Bioinspired Double Twisted Laminated Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work explores a dynamic mechanistic study of crack propagation and puncture testing via real‐time monitoring of crack initiation, propagation, and termination through nature‐inspired single and double twisted architectures fabricated from cellulose nanocrystals.

Strategie uwodzenia tekstem. O odpowiedzialnej lekturze literatury podczas zajęć
na przykładzie języka polskiego jako rodzimego oraz jako języka obcego

open access: yesPostscriptum Polonistyczne, 2020
The article discusses problems for native speakers and foreigners when reading literary texts during Polish language classes. Two important books are presented here (K. Koziołek, 2006; A. Janus-Sitarz, 2009).

Optical Signature of Moiré Superlattices Formed by Twisted SrTiO3 Membranes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We discover optical signatures from bonded interfaces in twisted SrTiO3 moiré superlattices, including low‐frequency Raman vibrational modes and strong second‐harmonic generation, consistent with strong interlayer coupling inferred from cross‐sectional electron microscopy and ab initio calculations. ABSTRACT Moiré superlattices formed at the interfaces

Embedded Ferroelectric Nanoclusters Can Drive Polarization Reversal in a Non‐Ferroelectric Polar Film via the Proximity Effect

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Ferroelectric nanoclusters create local internal fields in a normally non‐switchable polar film because of polarization mismatch at their interfaces. That field opposes polarization in the regions with larger polarization and reinforces polarization in the regions with smaller polarization.
