In Situ Study of Resistive Switching in a Nitride‐Based Memristive Device

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In situ TEM biasing experiment demonstrates the volatile I‐V characteristic of MIM lamella device. In situ STEM‐EELS Ti L2/L3 ratio maps provide direct evidence of the oxygen vacancies migrations under positive/negative electrical bias, which is critical for revealing the RS mechanism for the MIM lamella device.

Anterior Segment Optical Coherence Tomography for Tear Meniscus Evaluation and its Correlation with other Tear Variables in Healthy Individuals [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research, 2016
Introduction: Dry eye is one of the most common ocular diseases in this cyber era. Despite availability of multiple tests, no single test is accurate for the diagnosis of dry eye. Anterior segment optical coherence tomography is the recent tool which

Spectrally Tunable 2D Material‐Based Infrared Photodetectors for Intelligent Optoelectronics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Intelligent optoelectronics through spectral engineering of 2D material‐based infrared photodetectors. Abstract The evolution of intelligent optoelectronic systems is driven by artificial intelligence (AI). However, their practical realization hinges on the ability to dynamically capture and process optical signals across a broad infrared (IR) spectrum.

Ocular surface disease in pseudoexfoliation syndrome [Bolest očne površine kod pseudoeksfolijacijskog sindroma] [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Aim of the study is to determine connection between pseudoexfoliation (PEX) syndrome and symptoms and signs of ocular surface disease. Tear film break-up time test, Schirmer II test and assessment of lid parallel conjunctival folds were performed in 40 ...

Viscoelasticity‐Induced Controllable Periodic Meso‐Textures of Liquid Crystal Polymers in Additive Manufacturing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Viscoelasticity‐driven instabilities are harnessed to create tunable, periodic textures in 3D‐printed liquid crystalline polymers. This study illustrates how processing parameters control these spontaneous meso‐scale patterns. These unique structural architectures unlock new possibilities for functional devices, ranging from photonic components to ...

A Combined Clinical and Langmuir Film Study of Natural Tear Films [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The Langmuir technique has been applied to the study of natural tears and the results obtained from surface pressure-area isotherms have been correlated with those of clinical tests (the Schirmer and the TFBUT tests). The population studied only included

Spatially Tailorable Liquid Crystalline Elastomer Alignment During Digital Light Process 3D Printing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Here, we report the fabrication of 3D printable liquid crystalline elastomer (LCE) structures with spatially tailorable alignment domains within the same layer. This work addresses the long‐standing challenge of preparing complex 3D LCE architectures with patterned functional domains to achieve nonlinear deformations. Fabrication of multi‐domains in 3D

Contact Lens with Moiré Patterns for High‐Precision Eye Tracking

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents a passive contact lens for high‐precision eye tracking, integrating a microscopic moiré grating label. The parallax‐induced shift of macroscopic moiré patterns enables angle measurement with 0.28° precision using a standard camera under ambient light.
