Development and Diagnostic Potential of a Handheld Probe Polarization‐Sensitive Optical Coherence Tomography in Oral Mucosa Imaging

open access: yesInternational Journal of Imaging Systems and Technology, Volume 36, Issue 4, July 2026.
Handheld Probe Polarization‐Sensitive Optical Coherence Tomography for Oral Screening. ABSTRACT Early detection of oral cancer through routine screening is important. Therefore, developing noninvasive, good‐resolution, and cost‐effective screening tools that provide real‐time in vivo oral health imaging is paramount.

Optical Kerr Gating as a Strategy for Noise Reduction in Femtosecond Stimulated Raman Spectroscopy

open access: yesJournal of Raman Spectroscopy, Volume 57, Issue 7, Page 1185-1196, July 2026.
We report an experimental approach, where an Optical Kerr gate is incorporated with Femtosecond Stimulated Raman Spectrometry (FSRS). The gate functions as a temporal filter that preferentially suppresses the FSRS inherent background. FSRS spectra are reported with the Kerr‐gated methodology with significantly improved SNR compared to the conventional ...

MSWD: A Hybrid Machine‐Learning Framework for Slant Wet Delay Modeling

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Atmospheres, Volume 131, Issue 12, 28 June 2026.
Abstract Space geodetic techniques such as Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) and Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI) are limited by direction‐dependent tropospheric delays, with slant wet delay (SWD) being the most variable component and a major error source.

A new calibration technique for interferometric radiometers

open access: yes, 1998
This paper presents a new method for receiver calibration of interferometric radiometers. It is based on the distributed noise injection mechanism and it consists of fully calibrating the baseline error terms of the central antennas (which share the same noise source) while keeping only separable error calibration for the distant ones.

Interseismic Creep Along the Enriquillo–Plantain Garden Fault, Haiti, Estimated From InSAR

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 11, 16 June 2026.
Abstract The Enriquillo–Plantain Garden fault zone (EPGFZ) is a major left‐lateral strike‐slip fault in southern Haiti hosting several recent destructive earthquakes, including the 2021 MW 7.1 Nippes event with primary thrust‐slip. To investigate how strain is accommodated in the vicinity of the 2021 event, we analyzed Sentinel‐1 interferometric ...

Interferometric Scattering (iSCAT) Microscopy & Related Techniques

open access: yes, 2019
Interferometric scattering (iSCAT) microscopy is a powerful tool for label-free sensitive detection and imaging of nanoparticles to high spatiotemporal resolution. As it was born out of detection principles central to conventional microscopy, we begin by

Record Index–Bandgap Trade‐Off: CdPS3 as a High‐Index van der Waals Platform for Ultraviolet–Visible Nanophotonics

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 15, Issue 11, 13 June 2026.
The fundamental index–bandgap trade‐off strictly limits materials for short‐wavelength nanophotonics. The van der Waals crystal CdPS3 emerges as a compelling alternative platform challenging this paradigm. Combining an exceptionally high refractive index approaching 3 with a broad mid‐infrared‐to‐ultraviolet transparency window, CdPS3 unlocks new ...

Interpretation of SAR Data using Polarimetric and Interferometric Techniques.

open access: yes, 1997
The investigation presented in this paper demonstrates the potential of the combination of polarimetric and interferometric classification techniques for the extraction of map relevant features from space borne SAR data.

Localization of damage in beams using interferometric techniques

open access: yes, 2012
Two interferometric techniques and their applications in structural damage identification are presented in this paper. Out-of-plane displacement fields of modal response are measured with a pulsed electronic speckle pattern interferometric system(ESPI).

First Results from Multifrequency Interferometry. A comparison of different decorrelation time constants at L, C, and X Band

open access: yes, 2009
The measurement of displacement from SAR images, using either interferometric or correlation techniques, is always carried out from a comparison between two or more acquisitions separated in time.
