miRNA‐29 regulates epidermal and mesenchymal functions in skin repair
miRNA‐29 inhibits cell‐to‐cell and cell‐to‐matrix adhesion by silencing mRNA targets. Adhesion is controlled by complex interactions between many types of molecules coded by mRNAs. This is crucial for keeping together the layers of the skin and for regenerating the skin after wounding.

Comparison of SVM Optimization Techniques in the Primal [PDF]
This paper examines the efficacy of different optimization techniques in a primal formulation of a support vector machine (SVM). Three main techniques are compared. The dataset used to compare all three techniques was the Sentiment Analysis on Movie Reviews dataset, from kaggle.com.

Spot‐14 and Spot‐14R play distinct roles in regulating metabolism in brown and beige adipocytes. While both influence lipid and glucose pathways, Spot‐14 uniquely controls thermogenic gene expression. This dual regulation balances energy storage and heat production, highlighting potential therapeutic targets for obesity and metabolic disorders. Spot 14

We present the cellular transcription‐coupled Flp‐nick system allowing the introduction of a Top1‐mimicking cleavage complex (Flpcc) at a Flp recognition target site within a controllable LacZ gene. LacZ transcription leads to the collision of RNA polymerase II (RNAPII) with Flpcc, and this causes RNAPII stalling, ubiquitination, and degradation.

ON THE TECHNIQUE OF PNEUMOTOMY. [PDF]
While the surgical principle, " Ubipus, ibi evacua ," is nowadays held up more than ever before even in those parts of the human body that are accessible only under great difficulties, there seems to be some exception in regard to pus accumulations in the lungs, although they are by no means of rare occurrence. This lack of enthusiasm in attacking lung

Interaction extracellular vesicles (iEVs) are hybrid vesicles formed through host‐pathogen communication. They facilitate immune evasion, transfer pathogens' molecules, increase host cell uptake, and enhance virulence. This Perspective article illustrates the multifunctional roles of iEVs and highlights their emerging relevance in infection dynamics ...

Ultraviolet Passbands for a Space Multicolor Photometric System
The results of search for the optimal location of ultraviolet passbands for an extra-atmospheric photometric system are given. The addition of passbands near the well-known extinction bump at 218 nm to the photometric system makes it possible to ...

Parallel matrix inversion techniques
In this paper, we present techniques for inverting sparse, symmetric and positive definite matrices on parallel and distributed computers. We propose two algorithms, one for SIMD implementation and the other for MIMD implementation.
