Approaches to calculating the attractiveness of technological projects

open access: yesVestnik of Samara University. Economics and Management, 2023
For the selection and further effective implementation of a technological project, it is important to assess its attractiveness. The relevance of the scientific article follows from this request, since it considers the main drawback of the available tools for assessing the investment attractiveness of technological projects. It is important not only to

Septin 9 PB domains coordinate centrosome positioning and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

Bringing skills and general competences back into technological education

open access: yes, 2013
In this paper we show that industry-based student training is not limited to work experience; work integrated learning, internship or extended vacation work. It is also about bringing back the lost parts of technological education.

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Health Care, Technological Change, and Altruistic Consumption Externalities [PDF]

open access: yes
Traditional economic analysis has proposed well known remedies to deal with consumption externalities and inefficient technological change in isolation, but lacks a general framework for addressing them jointly. We argue that the joint determination of R&

Proof tests of geometric-kinematic calculations of railway vehicles

open access: yes, 2023
Geometric-kinematic calculations and experimental proof tests of the mutual position of assemblies and sub-assemblies of wagons that are in relative displacement are significant in developing new types of railway vehicles and especially in the ...

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

Calculations of Nd- binding energies and photodetachment partial cross sections

open access: yes, 2008
The electron affinity for neodymium is determined from relativistic configuration interaction calculations to be 169 meV, and six additional bound excited states are also predicted. These 6p attachments to the 4 f4 6 s2 neutral ground-state configuration
