TEHL Analysis of Rough Surface Spur Gears with Non-Newtonian Lubricants under Sudden Overloads
The time-dependent modified Reynolds equation, elasticity equation, and energy equation with initial conditions were formulated and solved numerically using a multi-grid multilevel with full approximation technique for an involute spur gear.

Effect of micro-particles on rough surface spur gears under TEHL with non-Newtonian lubricant
This paper presents the performance characteristics of rough surface spur gears under thermo-elastohydrodynamic lubrication (TEHL) with non-Newtonian solid-liquid lubricant based on a Power law viscosity model.

Thermo-mechanical response of TEHL contacts under dynamic loading conditions
A CFD-FSI approach is employed to investigate the thermo-mechanical response of TEHL contacts to time- varying loading conditions. The response to an impact load, with increment Delta f over time Delta t, and taking into account the equivalent system mass m, on film thickness, pressure and temperature variations, is being investigated.

TEHL analysis of high-speed and heavy-load roller bearing with quasi-dynamic characteristics
In this paper, the aero-engine mainshaft roller bearing D1842926 under typical operating conditions is taken as a case study, a new integrated numerical algorithm of quasi-dynamics and thermal elastohydrodynamic lubrication (TEHL) is put forward, which ...

Effect of fluid inertia force on thermal elastohydrodynamic lubrication of elliptic contact
A non-Newtonian thermal elastohydrodynamic lubrication (TEHL) model for the elliptic contact is established, into which the inertia forces of the lubricant is incorporated.

Transient mixed lubrication model of the human knee implant
Abstract The human knee implant is computationally modelled in the mixed lubrication regime to investigate the tribological performance of the implant. This model includes the complex geometry of the implant components, unlike elliptical contact models that approximate this geometry.
