Approximation Solution for TEHL of Bevel Gears in PSD
To study the lubrication of the contact zone between half-shaft gears and planet gears in the power-split device (PSD), TEHL line contact of bevel gears in PSD is approximately computed based on a theory in which a bevel gear is equalized to an equivalent spur gear.

A Micro-TEHL Finite Line Contact Model for a Helical Gear Pair
A micro-TEHL finite line contact model for a helical gear pair is developed by considering sinusoidal waviness on tooth surfaces. Effects of working conditions, the amplitude, and the wavelength of the waviness roughness on the lubrication performance ...

Thermo-mechanical response of TEHL contacts under dynamic loading conditions
A CFD-FSI approach is employed to investigate the thermo-mechanical response of TEHL contacts to time- varying loading conditions. The response to an impact load, with increment Delta f over time Delta t, and taking into account the equivalent system mass m, on film thickness, pressure and temperature variations, is being investigated.

Effect of fluid inertia force on thermal elastohydrodynamic lubrication of elliptic contact
A non-Newtonian thermal elastohydrodynamic lubrication (TEHL) model for the elliptic contact is established, into which the inertia forces of the lubricant is incorporated.

Transient mixed lubrication model of the human knee implant
Abstract The human knee implant is computationally modelled in the mixed lubrication regime to investigate the tribological performance of the implant. This model includes the complex geometry of the implant components, unlike elliptical contact models that approximate this geometry.

Influence of Manufacturing Error Tolerances on Thermal EHL Behavior of Gears
Due to the electrification of vehicles, new demands are being imposed on gears, which translates to the tolerances of manufacturing errors. However, not many studies treat the impact of manufacturing error combinations on the lubricant behavior of gear ...

To provide a basic guidance for the selection of nozzle layout, a mathematical model of the impingement depth for helical gears under oil jet lubrication is established. Furthermore, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) methods are adopted to validate the effectiveness and accuracy of the derived impingement model.
